Not sure how many of you still make phone calls with your phone, but I can't hear the caller and vice versa...

DT,

Ok I am not sure what is wrong or if it is something I am doing but I have never had a problem with ROMS. I tried flashing this one and all I get is a black screen after rebooting. I wiped system and cache, formatted system under mounts and storage and wiped davlik. The ROM installs fine but once I reboot...nothing. I am operating on the .173 version as well. Any thoughts?

check the Ics Razr thread, there is a newer version of SafeStrap, that fixed it for me.

Sounds like you have a old version of Safe Strap.

No issues with calls, No reports, and I myself have made many calls in the past few days without a issue.

Ok...I put Safestrap on my phone awhile ago to try a ICS ROM when it comes available but have yet to do anything. This will be my first time, if I get up the courage ;) , to DL a ROM with the RAZR. I understand you can have two ROMS using SS. I'd like to keep my current stock setup and then go to this on the other side and play. Do I need to wipe the good side when installing this? I'm hoping to leave that as is and just put this on the fresh partition SS allows so I can leave the data etc untouched on the stock side. Pipe dream or will that work? I'd rather not have to redo everything stock side to get this on the partition.

Just curious, since ICS has been leaked for GSM/International Razr why can't we just copy the camera from that version and use it for our Verizon one?

Haha yeah knew it wasn't but I just don't understand why the camera would be different? Its not like we are trying to adjust radios or something

Its a kernel issue. It needs drivers written for it. Which is being done.

Ordinarily I use bootstrap. But, I wanted the option of having a workable camera with the .173 OTA. So I uninstalled bootstrap (remembering to delete hijack, logwrapper & renaming logwrapper.bin to logwrapper). Installed 1.08 safestrap, made a nandroid & installed zip in safemode. I must say, I haven't had a glitch yet. Tried rebooting several times, toggled in and out of safemode and other than known problems(camera, resetting cdma/lte and so forth), everything works great. Excellent job. Where can we buy you guys coffee?
Just use Mastur Mods?
Thanx again.

Trying to diagnose. I'm getting horrendous battery life which strikes me as odd bc all DT's ROMS I have flashed in the past and on Bionic have had wonderful battery life. And when I say terrible battery life I mean, I pulled it off the charger 100% charged at 12 o'clock noon. I made a 7 minute phone call and LTE has been on the whole time. It is now 2:43 and I'm at 85%. Normally on ic3razr I would still be at 93 to 94%.

So maybe it's not terrible battery life, and I am loving the $#!+ outta this ROM. Yes I'm OC'd to 1350mhz but I was also OC'd to 1350 on ic3razr.

Going to keep search for what is running in the background that is killing my battery.

ETA: Just realized GPS and Yahoo Mail sync were on...those may be the culprit. Turned them both off and will monitor closely.

Gotta let things settle in and go through acharge cycle. The stats are probably off.

Be sure that you have the correct (latest) SS loaded 1.08. And no, you DO NOT wipe the non-safe side (side w/ stock rom). I'd recommend you research a lil bit on it first, it'll serve you well & eliminate lots of headaches, or a bricked device. Certain you can pull it off though and if haven't already here's good place to start

Hey DT, any idea why after a reboot Swype won't work. I end up having to uninstall then reinstall?
