Just the right amount of Vader in here.. And he was the badass the galaxy was afraid of instead of a temper tantrum having wannabe. The CG magic to bring characters like Tarkin in was very well done.
I would love this same type of treatment for a stand alone between Jedi and The force awakens.. Doesn't have to be an episode.. Just a tale of what the hell happened in those 30 years told as a stand alone. Will be adding to my library.

Just got back from viewing 2. I love it even more because i was able to look for more. The vader scene is great, it has grown even more on me now. My buddy and I were trying to figure out if we like TFA or Rogue better. I am honestly leaning on Rogue. Cant wait for the blu ray.

Overall I liked it better than TFA. Sad with the everyone died thing but it gives all the more gravity to the events in ANH.
Favorite scene: the blind monk saying "Really!?!? I'm blind!" When they put that hood over his head.

So now go to Empire Strikes Back and watch the scene where Han and Luke have been out on Hoth all night in a shelter that Han built. What is the call sign of the pilot that finds them?

Ha, nice. Very nice. There are all kinds of rumors and stuff on youtube about Obi Wan being the 3rd spin off movie. It makes sense since Rogue One directly eludes to him, they could tie in the story, show what Obi Wan was doing during that battle. After all, the beginning of Episode 4 does imply that Obi Wan was already looking out for Luke rather than finding him by chance.

It's unlikely they'll do an Obi Wan movie. They would potentially break too many things with A New Hope. As it is they've broken enough of what he says to Luke with the prequels. And it looks like Rebels is going to go looking for him so we'll see what they do there, as well.
No, what excites me is the possibility in a few seasons that Rebels will do the battle of Scariff from the point of view of whoever's on the Ghost at that point in time. Now THAT would be awesome.

Wonder how much of the rebel fleet escaped the end? Getting that information cost them a few frigates, maybe a cruiser, and other vessels. Something else seeing that rebel ship slam right into the ISD Devastator as it came out of hyperspace. It's unlikely they'll do an Obi Wan movie. Not too much of Obi wan's words were rendered incorrect by the prequels. Yes he glossed over technicalities, but nothing out of line.
Some of picked nits on the opening scene of ANH and how it might be in conflict but it still really isn't. They technically did receive a transmission and Vader still ignorant as to the full nature of that blockade runner.

That video is going to get annihilated by google as soon as they notice. It's a cam recording and infringes IP rights.

I saw that. And I am both excited and horrified at the possibility. Rebels is not as "mainstream" as things like Rogue One and Force Awakens. Meaning that while it'd be great for Rebels fans and really tie it together nicely, it would also present a few challenges. First, not enough people would have a clue who he is. He's not been in any movies. Second, if Ezra (and Kanaan) survive past A New Hope (maybe Empire), it opens up some continuity issues given that Yoda said in Return of the Jedi, and I quote, "When gone am I, the last of the Jedi will you be." So that suggests a couple things. Maybe Yoda was inept and had no clue that Ezra and Kanaan were still kicking. Or Ezra turns to the dark side, kills Kanaan, and therefore is not a "Jedi" in the same way that Ahsoka is no longer a Jedi. It's not an insurmountable problem to have him still kicking, but, they have to fully explain it in a way that doesn't contradict what Yoda said.
