we are here because we hate the stock experience...our alternatives are here, where developers share their endless hours of work with us. for free. despite constant "maybe I could have worded it differently" posts. 3 paragraphs of complaints and not 1 word of appreciation.

let me put it this way: I have been following Nitro for a long time now and themed as much of his stuff as I could and nearly every initial release I've seen from him is followed by a patch/tweak release within a week or 2. Trust me when I tell you that it's comments like the one above that kill motivation...especially when you don't even own the device.

it is what it is, and its not going to stop which is why I usually just keep to myself, it's a battle that can't be won. Just a shame that it will inevitably kill development on older devices.

The SLIGHTEST sign of gratitude makes a big difference.

agreed. You shouldn't complain about a free product. You paid for the phone. There's more civil ways, and donations help. These guys put in a ton of work, coding that is so far above my head it makes my head spin. It's like complaining about facebook, but worse. It's still free.

That being said, Eclipse is still the smoothest ROM thus far, which is awesome considering its a 1.0 release. Others sometimes have bugs, but this ROM is known for being dedicated to solid foundations in every area. Thanks for a ROM that literally gives me DAYS of battery life, while not being slow or buggy. I truly appreciate it- i rarely have the time to test drive all of them to find one that can do half of what it does.

nobody cares about your opinions on how this ROM should be set up.

nothing constructive about this post, all it accomplishes is pushing away another of the few devs we have left for this device.

don't like it, fix it yourself or flash something else.

You read into it what you want. I do appreciate the rom(s) and always leave constructive feedback in order to find out if things can be made better or improved for the greater good. You're in a pessimistic state of mind, therefore you read it as you wished. I have nothing but eternal gratitude for those who give their time to the Roms. It's sad to see people trolling and ranting, which is even more of a waste of time/negative #*$*@. I'm probably one of the few people who actually donates to rom developers to show my appreciation.

Not an issue, I just find that when I flash Eclipse Roms, by default there never seems to be a ringtone set and the vibrate is disabled. I was just curious if that's something you setup in your ROMs when you build it or not. Also, just sitting down to read and seems people took my post in a negative light. I apologize for not getting my sentiments across properly, and for the wording. Was meant in the kindest manner and was only hoping to get some clarification. I was slightly busy with something but didn't want to forget to ask the questions. Sorry to everyone who got flustered about my post. No harm meant.

And Nitro, thank you. I always appreciate your help and have donated to developers in the past (though not sure if I've sent you anything- got a link?)

I know that there was a bunch of talk about ind scripts and govenors and such. Can anyone recommend a script and profile for best battery life? I don't care about overclocking, just want some extra juice. thanks

Can't remember if I wrote it in this topic or not, but the set up I'm using is giving me around 48+hours of battery life, so it might help you out.

InteractiveX on sio. I have a profile set that undeclocks it down to 600 with the screen off, using ondemand. Additionally, I keep Wifi all the time. Turn off mobile data unless you're not around a wireless connection. Also using CPU Sleeper as well. This is all with the "Ultimate" setting on ram memory and SD Card boosted to 2 GB in ROM Toolbox.

Hey loving the ROM so far!

One question: is there a way to get back the blur camera and gallery? The main reason is that I want to be able to save pics to external SD card. If there is a way to do this with the current camera that would be great

I really love this ROM, but Google Search won't update, it gives me an error. I also can't update certain other apps.

Use Titanium backup to uninstall the apps then re-download them.

I actually did try that, but I got an error when trying to reinstall them via Google Play. I'll reflash and try again. Thanks for your response.

Make sure you reboot after uninstalling with TiBu. Then try downloading from the play store.
