Are you on v2.2 or the newest v5.1 based on AOSP/4.3?

He could be uploading v2.3 then, he mentioned that he had an update he was working on for it. He also plans on updating the AOSP/4.3 ROM soon to address some bugs and kernel issues.

The ROM was updated to the .16 release. That's probably why you're getting that message.

Your going to want to update to .16, most ROMs are all using that now. It will make life easier for you.

I have tried numerous times to update to .16, but each time it gets about halfway and then shows the dead android. When rebooted it says update failed. I have tried unfreezing, unrootung, and nothing seems to help..

Are you using Matt's droid RAZR utility? If you use the latest version of that it will completely wipe/flash every partition like the fxz/sbf files would when you had to use rsdlite.
Grab a fresh d/l of his utility & make sure your using a good stock moto USB cable, not a generic one. Should work because it scrubs everything.

I got it up and running...very smooth and I like it. MMS doesn't seem to be working in the stock messaging app, would maybe handcent or another app allow me to send MMS?

MMS works fine. It is group MMS that can have issues. I do have a fix in the next build though

Until the next build is posted, you could try Verizon Messages. That is what I'm using and everything works great.

If your trying to run Eclipse v2.2 then you need to be on .16

If your trying to run the new AOSP/4.3 Eclipse v5.1 then it doesn't matter because it loads a custom kernel at boot.

Pretty sure it's custom, its built on top of the CM10.2 platform. IIRC any 4.3 ROMs are built on Kexec or some kind of custom kernel because there is no stock/moto kernel for anything newer then 4.1.2.
