Update: Fixed! Jumped the battery at the battery terminals under the back cover! Badass phone! Simple and beautiful, much like this rom!!

That's how I did it when my battery was run down and I was stuck in fastboot. Now I have a dedicated USB cable just for that reason. I tried making a moto factory cable but don't have the soldering equipment to do so.

Was as easy as jumping a car lol. But I can understand the fear of doing it this way, can easily short out the battery or whole phone if not careful.

Said you installed zip, then wiped. Should be opposite. Also didn't mention *format system* which must be done using safestrap.
Wipe data/cache/mounts&storage/format system/wipe dalvic/install zip ex SD.

I would also add that you should make sure you have safestrap 1.08, I read somewhere ICS hangs on 1.07 which may also help your issue.

I never noticed until now, but is the market fixed? I already did the drmserver& command so I didn't know if it worked beforehand. I notice it's gone (the market drm part) in the OP

The market has been fixed and is working fine to download an install apps.

I did format the system (failed to mention that the firs ttime) but I definitely confused the order of things somewhere in the process. Thanks a ton for the help. Reinstalling now.

This is the answer to my question. After looking around for a while I didn't see this but that was the problem. Just installed 1.08 and gave it a run. Thanks very much.

It will still say 1.07 when you're in recovery, but that's just a bug/never fixed.

ETA: I've went to keyboard settings, it says it's there and I selected for it to be on main keyboard, but the button is not there to use it...

I have an interesting problem. After flashing the rom and inverted gapps with safestrap I load up the rom just fine, but I can't sync my google account to make any of the gapps work. market and gmail act like they're going to open, and then return to the app drawer. I've tried wiping and flashing 3 times, and I'm still having this happen.. any ideas?

Are you on Bluetooth or just making regular calls? My phone works perfectly just making regular phone calls bit I havent tested Bluetooth yet

Okay voicesearch.apk was missing from the 2-14 build in mine so I pulled it from a 2-11 build and put it in. Booting up now.

Hold down search to find out. I think you my have to dl from the mkt first though. But it works. Use it all the time

the one from the market is gingerbread...tried that. Go into the 2-9, 2-11, 2-12 zips (any of them) and pull out the voicesearch.apk from one of those and insert it into the 2-14 build. Then you will have the correct ICS voice search.

After you flashed the ROM did you wipe cache and dalvik again before flashing gapps?
