I tried going into recovery and I would let the phone sit for around 30 secs once seeing the little android man then simultaneously pressing volume up and down and power I used to be able to get Into recovery on my OG RAZR. I've tried every button press combo on my HD and can't get the screen to pop up just to clear the cache. any ideas ?Not sure if this will cure anyone's woes, but maybe try clearing cache from system recovery (i.e. not safestrap). I used to do this periodically on my og razr, and it would speed things up.

I just did it, so it definitely works. Once you get to the android with the red alert triangle, you gotta press volume up and down at the same time to get to the next menu... Clear system cache and reboot.

Maybe this will help... Idk if it sped anything up, but it didn't hurt either. Worth a shot.

You are correct ! Played with it a little more and seems to work the best by holding down the power down after getting to red alert triangle and while holding down power down , press and release power up , and boom instantly I'm in lol. Thanks a lot . I'm running on non safe side right now and I'm starting to think that theory is right about the speed being better ... either this or the difference in the .39 and .41 builds . There's gotta be something different between the two even if its just so minor non of us can tell . Its one of those two its gotta be. This thing is flying right now.I just did it, so it definitely works. Didn't see this asked yet, but can the update be flashed over? Or do I have to do a full wipe again? Thanks!
I don't know, but I would think that it could most likely be flashed over. If you see any problems, just do full wipes and reflash. Just make sure you back up anything important.

I'm uploading a test version to the OP right now if anyone wants to test it out with me. I basically just debloated a ton (removed 21 more system apk's), and I want to make sure everything is still working. It might help free up some more resources like background processes, ram, etc... hopefully make things run smoother.
Been running this version for a few days. Is super smooth. No lag whatsoever. I restored about 50 apps and everything is running great!

That's great! I haven't noticed anything wrong so far either, but I may give it a few days before I remove the "Test" moniker from it. Just to make sure. I have noticed less ram usage, though, which is good.

Are you gonna leave it as is or are you gonna change it before you let it go.That's great! I haven't noticed anything wrong so far either, but I may give it a few days before I remove the "Test" moniker from it. Just to make sure. I have noticed less ram usage, though, which is good.

I'm not sure yet... I'm just waiting to see if there are any bugs. The only thing I've added since posting is the razr camera in addition to the 4.2 cam. I'd say go ahead and use it, because any major changes I'll make won't be for a few weeks at least.
