Mount the systemapp folder as read write, then copy MotCamera.apk and MotGallery.apk into the folder. I think they work in tandom if memory serves from droid x2 days.

Yes, thanks, i made this ofcourse, but result is same. I can't understand, why, because Nexesque based on a stock rom and i think stock camera and gallery must work as on stock firmware!

Oh damn, I knew this was going to be hard. Everything will be OK. The RAZR HD is going to a farm to play with all the other droids. They will all have unlocked bootloaders and will be free range fed on moto released source code.

In all seriousness, though, I bought a nexus 5 and am switching to t-mobile at the end of the month. Until then, I am working on one last release that will hopefully hold everyone over until the release of 4.4. I am more than willing to hand the reins over to someone worthy. It's been really fun messing with this rom and, seriously, all I've really done is add/remove apps and try to make things look nicer. Anyone can do it!

Yeah, not to sure about that anyone part haha.. First ROM I have installed on my Razr HD that I actually ENJOY because it WORKS.

No bloat, I have 459 MB of RAM free as I type this, I never had more then 200 on previous ROMs - RageHD was soooo slow (no offense to them) I was about to give up on Android all together.

Appreciate it a lot.. I hope KitKat will run this good...

I think you need to delete the moto x camera too.

Hey adam, do you still happen to have the old, red-ified nexus boot animation? That was sick

I seem to have deleted all trace of it from my computer. Maybe someone can pull it from an old rom if they can find one. It was in 2.3 - 2.5

So, I have a pretty cool announcement to make!

This rom started out as nothing more than me wanting a stock-based rom with all the bloat removed. I took a stock-deodexed rom from vtwinbmx and just experimented with removing different apps to see what happened (I had no idea what I was doing). I was happy that I had cleaned up the bloat from the rom, but I was still unsatisfied with the rom. I'm really into the stock look of android, as many of us are, so I started replacing app and system icons with google icons. Still unsatisfied, I started to photoshop the .png files inside apps that couldn't be replaced with aosp apps (due to my own technical limitations) to try and make the apps look more like aosp. I soon found myself chasing the dragon of rom development, but I hit a wall because modifying apps isn't always as easy as swapping out image files. I started to learn how to decompile and recompile apps so that I could modify the messaging app and system framework. I could probably spend a lot more time researching android development and doing more complicated modifications, but I decided to avoid that rabbit hole due to schoolwork and whatnot. I decided, instead, to focus on keeping the rom simple and without frills for the purpose of maintaining stability. Apparently quite a few people appreciated that philosophy and rather than flashing the rom and running off, many of you have reported bugs and have made valuable suggestions for improving the rom. I wouldn't have had the motivation to maintain Nexesque if it wasn't for everyone's feedback and the incessant prodding for rom updates *joke. Developing the Nexesque rom and maintaining this forum thread have been infinitely more enjoyable than I had imagined when I started and I'm glad you all have been here to test and help out. Ok, ok, that's enough of that...

As I didn't want to leave you all high and dry after my move to the Nexus 5, I mentioned that I would be more than welcoming to anyone who was willing to take over development of the Nexesque rom. I received a message from jp1044, who expressed interest in maintaining the rom after my departure. I am very grateful that someone stepped up to the plate and I hope that you will all welcome him as the new main developer for the Nexesque rom. He is the founder of Team LiteSpeed, who developed the FlyingJelly roms for the og razr, bionic, razr m, and razr hd. I am more than certain that he is an adequate replacement for me on the Nexesque rom and will probably add more to the rom than I ever could.

Please welcome your new leader, JP1044

First of all, thank you to adamjmtz for letting me take over this awesome ROM. I love the simplicity, stability, and goal of this ROM and can't wait to continue the legacy. Of course, Nexesque will stay mostly the same as it has been but I'll probably add a couple of my own touches, but nothing that will stray too far from what this ROM already is. I hope to carry this ROM into the RAZR HD 4.4 era. Again, thanks to adamjmtz for allowing me to take over development and I look forward to developing this. If you have any questions, just reply here or PM me.   :D

Welcome, jp! And Adam, even though I'm no longer using nexesque, it was the first non-stock rom I'd ever flashed and I've never looked back since. Thanks again for sharing your hard work; looking forward to what you and jp have in store. So glad I chose this phone :D

For those having issues with losing root and TiBu. The issue is in the latest Superuser (Koush's). The latest 1.0.2.6 version from the Play Store is broken. I'm running 1.0.2.1 Superuser version and it is fine. I believe that is the version packed with this ROM. Do not update Superuser through the Play Store right now.

Koush's superuser was updated and fixed the issue. No need to hold on to 1.0.2.1 now.

Just wanted to recommend "Notification Toggle" to anyone looking for a good Noification tray toggle setup.

I've been looking for a good one for a long time and have fallen in love with the ease and simplicity of this one. Of course it can get as advanced as you want it to be.

No affiliation, just finally happy with a Toggle Switcher.

I used

instead. Basically the same thing, I just liked the look of the icons better.

Anyone have that red boot animation? Still looking for it

Hello good people!!

I've been using this rom for quite some time even though I'm a gsm user on T-mobile. (I've unlocked the gsm capabilities). While I was on T-mobile, before using this phone, I owned a nexus 4, but it never had the battery life I was looking for so I sold it and bought a razr HD. :) Anyways.. to cut to the chase I was missing the raw speed and power of the Nexus 4 so I've disabled logging on my razr to make it go blazing fast :)))))))))))) since the razr was bogged down by having to log and run programs at the same time with just 2 cores. Just add these 3 lines to the end of your build.prop:

#simple speed supertweaks (optional description line)

profiler.force_disable_err_rpt=1

profiler.force_disable_ulog=1

logcat.live=disable

Restart and that's it! in keeping with the traditional theme of Nexusque simplicity. Good day and let me know how it goes! :lol:

Having logging disabled is already common for a lot of custom roms. It is only necessary when you have an app that crashes on you randomly and you can't figure out why. You would then read through the log file to debug the application, but for the majority of us we don't usually need it enabled since we aren't app or android system developers. It just slows down the phone a lot and drains a little bit of battery life.

so just use a build. prop editor and add those lines?

I know there is a build.prop editor in ROM toolbox but if you use root browser or es file Explorer in root mode then just go to /system and open build.prop as a text file
