Dalvik is hard to explain just figure as a second step in wipping regular cache. I take it your not rooted or unlocked. If not the way to get to it is by going into stock recovery. With phone off hold up & down volume and power at same time a screen will come up use up or down vol button to get to recovery hit both again should bring you to recovery screen scroll down to wipe cache hit power to do it then scroll down to advanced hit power to accept you will see dalvik hit power to do it then keep scrolling back until you get to reboot  do it. Yoy might want to google it to.

Actually yes, i have unlocked bootloader and am Rooted. I just wanted a way to refresh the installed ROM instead of factory resetting and re-installing the ROM.
THANKS :)

Not sure how to move post from my phone but here it is.
Go easy on me, I know I've seen a couple of posts around about this.

I'm on 9.18.79, rooted but locked with SS 3.12. I flashed nexesque (3.6 I'm pretty sure), which is a beautiful rom but gapps force closes a LOT. Every sign in and sync of my google account is when it happens. Stock AOSP browser FC's as well upon opening it. So far no bugs other than this.

Tried wiping caches, wiping everything etc. Started with a fresh rom slot. Several flash tries, tried flashing a fresh gapps zip on it, tried just about everything on the interwebs on it, but nothing will stop these force closes.

If someone gave me answers to this, I would pray of thanks for them for 3 days straight.

Thanks,
Devoted lover of Android

PS I heard XT926 was getting 4.4. WOOT

PSS First time flashing a rom too. That must be why I'm labeled as 'n00b' XD

+1
Encountered this too, and the " unfortunately com.process.google.gapps (something like that) has stopped working" msg.

I installed third party browser to replace stock browser. No other FC appears. So thats the only solution i have to this problem currently.

Anyone else want to share solution?

It'd be really really nice to have gapps and especially the stock browser functioning.

So if the bootloader is locked, it will fight against any unofficial ROMS and apk's from being installed/keep them from running smooth?

Yes and no, from what I understand it fights any changes to access of hardware and definitely locks into only one kernel. It has the side effects of not having some things run smoothly. To make a phone really adapt to a different ROM on what's basically Linux the boot loader should be unlockable. That could be totally wrong but that's what I understand.

Although the gapps issue is beyond me. If I understood it I would have fixed it. :p

+1. I remember the browser issue for sure, ran Firefox to get around it, no biggie. The gapps process error happened but I think more on 3.6. I attributed it to a dirty flash.

Does it have something to do with the fact that I had 9.18.79 instead of 9.20.1?

Mine's also on stock 9.18.79 previously.

Well, its nothing a third party browser cant fix really... very insignificant bug in otherwise already great ROM.

Cheers..

But the gapps fc seems to be very much related. They fc in tandem whenever an account sign in function of some sort is called...

You can delete LatinIMEGoogle.apk (google keyboard) if you don't want it.

Mount the systemapp folder as read write, then copy MotCamera.apk and MotGallery.apk into the folder. I think they work in tandom if memory serves from droid x2 days.
