Could smb. upload nandroid backup made with Safestrap v3.12 (locked bootloader)? My phone for some reason can't install .zip with this firmware.
Thank you in advance!

I'm not sure if this will work, but try deleting boot.img from the zip before flashing in safestrap.

If anyone else has flashed this on safestrap, maybe give mapki a hand. I'm not sure what the problem is and I haven't used safestrap in a looooong time.

Reading through the last number of pages & the original post. Read on another forum that this is a great ROM and works well using safe strap. Is anyone 100 percent sure that this is SS compatible? I'm certainly willing to give it a try. Any recommendations on what version SS I should be running before I start?

Running 9.20.1 xt926

Just tried flashing 3.5 with both TWRP 2.6.3.0 and CWMR 6.0.3.2 and both complained that the package file was bad. I did a full wipe, and confirmed that the md5sum matches ... is it definitely good?

It should be good, but I would personally redownload to be sure.  TWRP 2.5 should work just fine since this is a 4.1.2 rom.  I usually start fresh with Matt's utility when I have problems with an initial install...hasn't failed me yet! And as previously stated, don't forget to mount system

Ok, sorry, I'm the idiot who didn't read the instructions. Mounting /system worked. Does anyone know why mounting /system is required? I can't recall ever having to do that flash a ROM before...

EDIT: Wow, sick boot animation!

Excited to try out this rom on my locked bootloader but rooted device tonight when I get home.

just to verify with in TWRP how do you mount the system, is it simply the check box next to the word system and then it's mounted or is there another procedure?

Nope, you've got it buddy.  Go to mount and make sure that there is a blue x next to system.  Make sure it's ticked right before actually flashing as any wiping tends to unmount it in my experience.

I noticed that too. Go to system/media/ui and delete camera_click.ogg (or add .bak to the end).

Is there any way to disable the transparent notification bar background? It looks really weird w/ custom DPI...

You can't use twrp with a locked boot loader, you'll have to look into safestrap.

There's not an easy way to do it for this ROM.

This ROM is sweet. Just install xposed framework and download gravity box and this is the most stable ROM with all the customization.

The tweak has many status bar tweaks and also has track skip with volume key when screen is off.

Can you provide a link for the xposed framework you used? Xda?

Xposed is in the play store also. It also gives you the download link for the modules apk and the xda thread I believe.
