Weird, that's what I tried before, but this time it worked.  You must be magic.  Thanks.

The reason I asked: I wanted to point out that hyperlinks in received SMS/MMS are especially difficult to see.  They are almost the same blue as the background bubbles.  Can this be changed?

I would also like to know how to change the bubble colors.  Links are very hard to read, and I can't see what the Android smileys are, other than a blotch of green.  My suggestion is to do a similar theme to Hangouts (Talk), where the background is light grey and both text bubbles are white with black text.

Also, does anyone know what .apk(s) I need to restore from the stock deodexed ROM in order to restore the following two features of Motorola's SmartCarDock.apk?  I've got the SmartCarDock working, aside from these two features (which are a huge part of why I like the app).

1)  incoming text message prompt for voice commands to read out loud (text to speech) or dismiss

2)  incoming text message auto-response

36.88KB   88 downloads is there a way to stop the flashing process? wait for the battery to die? EDIT: i found the solution using the forum search, apparently i did not mount system and i held the three buttons (3 finger salute) to reboot into twrp for 10seconds, mounted system, flashed Rom, success! GREAT ROM! Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2

Can someone explain to me what "mounting the system" actually does? I haven't had to do any mounting with other roms I've flashed till I decided to flash this one.

Thanks in advance.

It does exactly what it says. It mounts the /system partition of the device which allows for main system components to be overwritten, such as the boot.img (kernel).

Thanks for the fast response, BDH. One last bonus question.

Why do some roms need system mounted and some don't?

Because some ROMs contain kernels and some don't :)

It also matters if the developer makes the updater-script correctly. If not, it will not mount the /system partition like it should. If the correct command (which is different for each device) is implemented then the updater-script will mount the /system partition itself and no manual mounting of system is needed :)

Ah, that makes a lot more sense to me. Thanks for all the help, BDH.

Also, this rom is pretty great! I really dig having both the MotoCam and the 4.2 camera.
Keep up the good work, OP!  B)

I made the jump to this ROM - good work - looks nice... like a stock Nexus, and appears to not run like poo like this phone stock.

One thing missing that would be a nice to have is the extended power settings (reboot, recovery, etc).

Overall though - great work - clean and everything appears to be functional (haven't been able to get tethering working yet, but I'll look into it later).

Anyone know how to get quick office to work without buying the full version? I get a lot of word files on my work email and I can't open them anymore

I agree that he only addition to this ROM that would make it perfect is he extended power settings.  I'm far from a developer so would anyone be able to make a MOD for this?

I'll see what I can do for it this weekend. As long as the OP doesn't mind? Make his job a little easier. :)

Not to be presumptuous, but can you also incorporate the new radios from the most recent update. I understand that has absolutely nothing in common with extended power settings... Just kidding :-)

This is not my ROM so as I stated, the only thing I will try to do is the power menu. Sorry but I'm not trying to take this ROM over or anything. Hope you guys understand I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes. I only agreed to TRY to do the power menu.
