I had WiFi authentication issues on 2.5, but since 3.0 it has worked perfectly. I flashed straight over 2.5 with only cache/dalvik wipes. Only hotspot seems broken for me but I rarely use it so I haven't bothered to troubleshoot it. Loving the ROM

I read these comments about the Wi-Fi and was like OK let me try to see if it works for me or not, I was on DST for awhile and wanted to flash something. I wiped 4x and mounted system. Flashed the ROM, right before I rebooted I wiped the cache and rebooted, this was all in TWRP. I was playing on it all night and WiFi did not d/c at all.
Just out of curiosity, what 3.0 are you talking about? TWRP latest version is 2.5 as far as I know.

my wifi doesnt disconnect, i cant even turn the wifi on. under settings the wifi slider doesnt move and if i click on wifi i can use the slider in the top right hand corner and it slides and says wifi is connecting but doesnt do anytime. i tried a different version of safestrap and still nothing. sucks because this is my favorite rom so far!

Which kernel are you running? 4.1.1 or 4.1.2... If you're on safestrap, what's on your stock side?

Hey looks good so far, trying out everything and it all looks to work. I was looking for a rom that got rid of my bloatware and generally ran quicker than stock without having to much stupid stuff added in, thanks

This is most likely your problem. You should have 4.1.2 on your stock side before flashing this rom because it's based on 4.1.2. You can use Voodoo ota rootkeeper to protect root on your stock side before you update. Afterwards reflash the rom and your wifi will probably work.

Has the group messaging been fixed?
moto stock messaging has group messaging, the 4.1 aosp stock messaging that I have installed does not have group messaging as a feature. You can get the stock app from one of the stock roms.

Or just unlock, install twrp, flash 4.1.2 kernel and flash roms at will without messing with SS. No need to be constricted.

well the message came up on the stock side and i thought it was to download and it was acutally to install so i just installed without doing the temp unroot. FML. I havent decided if i want to unlock the bootloader yet as i dont want to run any of the dev roms anyway until they are rock solid stable.

There's a utility to root 4.1.2 so it's okay.

4.1.2 is rooted. Most of these roms are daily drivers. If all you are concerned about is stability you should unlock. Rock solid and superior to stock and cleaner than SS method.

as soon as i have some time to do some in depth reading on it i will get it done. i like safestrap because if i jack something up i can always boot the stock rom. on my bionic i got my phone stuck in boot loop when i was working mandatory 12 hour days for 16 days in a row so i have been cautious to even get back into rooting since then.
