Those wanting different battery icons: Rom Toolbox will flash any battery set for you. It lets you know what new files will replace current ones and makes backups. No messing with xml, etc.

I've been using Rom Toolbox since JRummy fist released it in the DROID X days. Great stuff.

Has anyone reported any issues with tethering?

I tether frequently and it reboots when I turn it on.

Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX HD

Use the following settings in the wifi tether app by Muller, Lemons, and Buxton.

Go into the program settings

change Device Profile to Generic ICS/JB(wlan0)

change setup method to Netd-Ndc

Check Wifi Driver Reload and Routing Fix.

Don't need the SQLite hack

This is for Wi-Fi tethering?

Thats a decent work around.... but this thing sucks the battery down when using the wi-fi hotspot.

I might have to try the SQL Lite hack, I tried adding in the VzwEntitlement back / fixed permissions but it doesnt seem to pick up the apk is there.

UPDATE
I used the deodexed VzwEntitlement.apk and USB tethering now works.

Cant wait to to give this ROM a full test drive tomorrow.

Where did you get that APK?

can you share where you got the apk? if that works, id definitely take that over wifi tether, just to save having another play store app installed.

Pulled it from one of the deodexed 4.1.2 ROMS. Move into /system/app/. Reboot into safestrap / twrp / etc and fix permissions.

You only want to do this if you no longer have unlimited data, or if you pay for tethering service.

The SQL edit won't make it work?

Is there a way to clear battery stats on this phone? I was on epinter's CM10.1 rom when I decided to restore Nexusque v3 from backup (got tired of phone fc and no GPS). I restored around 14 hours ago (battery in the mid 90%) and this is a screenshot of the battery stats a few minutes ago.

The start of the first flat spot is the initial boot after restoring. Battery read 50% the whole time. The drop to the second flat spot is where I booted into recovery (TWRP) to look for a clear battery stats option. I couldn't find one so I wipe cache and dalvik and my phone has been at 43% ever since. So what's the dealio? Will it reset after a charge cycle?

I had the same issue when I flashed pacman and did a restore. Phone was at 95% and after a reboot it showed 55% then later plugged it in and showed it was fully charged while still reading only 90. I just let in completely die then fully charged it. Took some time but I think I'm back to reading right again.

It seems like after it dropped below 43% last night it started reading right. After charging last night it seems to be dropping normally. Guess I should watch some Netflix to test that.

Any way we could get this modded power menu that was put up for the DST?  It has power, reboot, recovery and bootloader options, etc.

I tried flashing it over this rom, but it did nothing.

Mods from other roms should only be used for the rom they were made for. They contain the framework-res.apk and/or the systemui.apk from the other rom, so you're essentially overwriting a bunch of stuff with the other rom's stuff.

Think of it as taking a paragraph from one book that has a certain sentence you want, and replacing a paragraph in a different book with it - yes, now you have the sentence you want, but you also pasted in a whole paragraph that doesn't fit.

Understood.  Thought I'd give it a go and see what happened before I requested.  :-)

So I know it was mentioned people couldn't get their WiFi working but my WiFi works but connects and disconnects often. It just doesn't stay connected to anyone's wireless network. Any idea?

Ok, so I loved this ROM when using SafeStrap so a few days after I unlocked BL I decided to reload it. I was using TWRP and was running rooted 4.1.2 stock. I made a backup, made sure system was mounted, wiped all data and tried to flash ROM. An error came up (damn if I didn't read the whole thing) and the ROM didn't load. I tried again and the TWRP splash screen popped up and it rebooted. I tried again with same result. Then I tried to flash backup and same thing, TWRP splash but no flash. Then I just tried to reboot and a message stating my phone wasn't rooted and asking to load SuperSu popped up. I tried that and then phone got stuck in boot loop, never going past Motorola splash. After much cursing I got TWRP to reboot and got backup flashed and phone is fine. I know that's a lot of info, but anyone have any idea what that was all about? Scared me to death and I'm afraid to try again.....

Same exact issue.

------------------

E: Unknown File System: 'datamedia'

Installing '/external_SD/Android/Nexesque_RazrHD

Checking for MD5 file...

E:Error executing updater binary in zip '/extern

Fixed by mounting System  :)

======================================================================

Also,

When I try to Advance Wipe and select everything except Micro SDcard, TWRP flashes and reboots, then screen locks (I have to press power to turn it back on). I ran some tests (didn't have a ROM installed anyway..  :(  )

Stand alone wipes from Advanced Menu:

- Dalvik Cache wipes fine

- System wipes fine

- Data wipes fine

- Cache causes to reload

Multiple Wipes from Advanced Menu

- Selecting Sytem and Data together causes reload

- Dalvik and System cause reload

- Dalvik and Data work together

I had WiFi authentication issues on 2.5, but since 3.0 it has worked perfectly. I flashed straight over 2.5 with only cache/dalvik wipes. Only hotspot seems broken for me but I rarely use it so I haven't bothered to troubleshoot it. Loving the ROM
