No special apps, running 24v, though I honestly don't think that script has had a real impact on battery life

this is really old post 12/31/1969?

DROID NEXESQUE FOR RAZR HD (Updated March 7, 2013)

So, I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not a real developer. That being said, I noticed that there was sort of a lack of ROMs for this device (when compared to my old OG razr), so I started to mess around a bit on my own. I like the stock AOSP/Nexus look, so that’s where I am trying to take this rom.

DISCLAIMER: I built this rom for my own personal use and I’m posting it on here for you to try. Blah blah blah, if you brick your device it’s your own damn fault.

IF YOU WANT TO USE ANYTHING OR REPOST ANYTHING FROM THIS ROM, PLEASE ASK FIRST AND CREDIT THOSE I HAVE CREDITED FOR THEIR HARD WORK.

Special thanks:
Droidrazr.com – thanks for hosting this awesome community where I can waste valuable time.
vtwinbmx- this rom is built from his stock deodexed/zipaligned 9.1.39a rom and some help with lockscreen.
Mattlgroff- the razr utility is priceless.
Gnufabio- (whoever you are) for the jb keyboard and alarm clock.
Dhacker – I know you work a ton on the razr.
Hashcode – for safestrap… couldn’t do anything without it.
Halo13 - Help with AOSP lockscreen.
Warfexion & Schoat333 - I read their threads on xda and rootzwiki to figure out how to theme the mms.apk
Everyone else who provides feedback on this site and all others. It’s very helpful when you’re trying to get things to work.

ROM Features:
-AOSP Lockscreen
-1% Battery Mod
-4.2 camera/gallery w/ Photosphere
-Themed JB messaging app w/ quick emoji button
-4.2 clock and alarm
-4.2 keyboard
-4.2 Launcher (smooth animations and transitions)
-Themed Dialer
-AOSP settings menu
-Power Toggles app (open app and set them up to your liking)
-Titanium Backup preinstalled as system app
-No Frills Cpu Control
-more ringtones, notifications, and alarms
-Heavily de-blured and debloated (kept moto camera and smartactions)
-deodexed and zipaligned by vtwinbmx
-Small navigation bar buttons by Megaroad (separate flash)

SPEED SCRIPTS:
vtwinbmx has released various speed scripts that can improve performance, but they also may affect battery life (among other possible things). If you notice any issues, please reflash the rom w/o the scripts and make sure the issue still exists before reporting. Scripts can be found here:

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Be rooted w/ safestrap 3.12
2. I’d recommend making a rom slot of 2gb or more.
3. Wipe: cache, dalvik, factory reset, system.
4. Flash rom then login to play store and update apps.
5. Restore your apps with titanium backup.
6. Reboot.
7. Let me know how it’s working!

Flash this on top of ROM and use with Nova or Apex Launchers (will look weird with stock launcher).

Dirty flash the rom if you want to revert back.

I'm running 24v and it seems to have made things mess up. Like wallpapers are not sticking right and volume+ force closes now. Maybe my download is bad? But I've used it on fuzion and it's worked. Idk

Flashing this will display the Menu soft key, but note that the downside to flashing the zip, is losing the battery percent in the menu bar. I would ideally like both but if I have to choose I'll go with the menu key config that I like.

Have you tried to get stock browser to work ?

Honestly I would just re-download the script, create a new rom-slot, flash the rom, sign in to Google and let it set for a few minutes and then flash the script again.

If you still have problems, I would just flash the rom and let it fly, the improvements caused by using 24v on nexesque seem to be marginal for most.

First i have to say, love your rom. I think i tryed them all. Yours is the best and fastest and great battery Thanks. This is way out in Left field i know. but I have one problem with Bluetooth, it hangs. I have a 2013 Chevy equinox. Always use BT for the phone and pandora Thru radio . I would have to say i have had no problem up until now with any roms BT. Its seems to hang when playing pandora thru the cars BT and then the phone rings. I answer the phone call works great and when i hang up. It will not start up pandora again. BT is lock up. If i turn off BT in phone it will not turn it off on the radio until i turn the car off. Just locks up all BT. Lets say for giggles I wanted to pull the file or files for the BT from another rom to see if it changes anything. What files do i need to pull? Any Idea what is different or how to fix?
Looks like only 2 files Boothtooth.apk and BluetoothLE.apk thru Root Explorer?
Thanks

Is anyone else having problems with bluetooth?

Other than the occasional stutter, no problems here.

Well I tested this ROM on an unlocked consumer version of the RAZR HD an it went smoothly on CWM. I'm so happy djrbliss exploited the Fort Knox boot loader. :)

Not sure if this is the proper forum for this question, but please steer me elsewhere if I'm in the wrong place. I have a few questions on the "mount" functions of TWRP, since I've never used this recovery before. It seems to be set with DATA, CACHE, & SD CARD checked as the DEFAULT. Should I just keep it this way for normal operations? Is there any problem with checking mount SYSTEM, too, all of the time? Could someone explain the purpose of mounting the System when flashing certain roms. Is mounting the system only used for flashing roms, or should it also be checked for backups and restores, etc.
Thanks!
Marilyn

Yeah just ck system and you will be good. You will have to ck it every time you want to flash a rom from safe system.

Thanks . . . . . what about when making backups, is there any benefit to checking the box "recovery" as part of the backup, or do you just recommend checking boot, system, & data.

I checkec everything when I did stock a guy said if you didnt something wouldnt work. Dont no if that holds true for roms guess it wouldnt hurt to try. If you ck all should give it back just the way you put it there.

When the new version is released, yes, I will work on getting it into the rom. It seems like there will be quite a few improvements, so someone will have to deodex and zipalign the new version, OR I'll figure out how to do it.
