Are you using the latest safe strap? I believe 3.65? Have you tried redownloading 3.0 and 3.0.1? After redownloading, repeat the steps of your first attempt but apon your first reboot, let it boot and sit on its own without interaction for at least 10 minutes

still no dice it seems...redownloaded both files,  deleted slot 1, created slot 1, factory wipe, installed 3.0, installed 3.0.1, and still getting the boot loop, never see the TLS logo, just goes dark after safestrap and then reboots... hmm..

Okay, so this time i booted into stock, formatted my internal storage, then followed all the steps and it appears to have worked.. now time to set it up and see how it goes! I'll miss blood rage but it was time for a change...

I need some help..

I updated my xt912 from 98.72.16 to 98.72.165.
I tried installing this ROM on Slot 1 using Safestrap. Installed the 3.0 zip & 3.1 update just fine.
When it goes to reboot, it shows the Safestrap screen as it normally does. Then when it should load the boot animation, it automatically reboots. What is wrong???

I do not think its built off of 165. Only 16. 3.65 ss and not 3.11 ss. If your doing the newer fj. Mine does not load after start up screen. Will have to flash the 3.11 ss one.

FWIW, safestrap 3.11 works fine with this rom.  I'm running this rom and ss 3.11. Everything works fine.

There is a beta version for 3.65 safe strap

Yeah, I have the 3.65 ss.. Maybe its just not compatible with that or my xt912 being .165 and .16..
Gonna try another ROM, if its the update, then I'll downgrade back to .16

Hi everyone- I'm using this ROM and it works great. Only problem is that I'm getting a system update notification that pops up about twice a day. I know that if I try and update the phone on this custom ROM, it won't work. Anybody know how to block the system update notification?

Gotta say I'm loving this ROM after a full week of use.  The speed improvement is quite nice and I've had zero issues.   The only question I do have is I keep getting an update to the system version that I keep ignoring.  Should I do the update or will that break the ROM?

No, you don't want to update.  And yes, it will break the rom.    You can use Titanium Backup to freeze the updater, or, if you don't have TB, you can just rename or delete the file.  If memory serves me correctly it's located in /system/app.  Can't remember what it's named for sure but it's something like blur_updater something.

 

If you don't want to do that, you can go to this post and download the file jp1044 linked to.  It's the same thing you're running but the updater has been removed.  Just flash it, wipe dalvik and cache and reboot.  Should be good to go then.

anyone have the problem of rom slot 1 being deleted if they reboot or turn phone off? I had this rom in slot 1 for a long time . Now this is happening.

i made sure no apps are cleaning out safe strap when i clean the phone.. 

reinstalled many times and it always happen..

any help will be greatly appreciated.

btw i never did the moterolla update.   just froze it.

Haven't experienced that myself. Have you fastbooted and redownloaded the latest safe strap. To start fresh in case it's a safe strap thing

There is one issue  Flying Jelly's OTA will pop up notifications saying update to 3.0.1 nowhere near as annoying as the OEM update that you froze in this new realease of 3.1, you forgot to update the code for version 3.1 in the about phone settings it still says version 3.0

 

But hey Im just nit picking , everything works though, let me knoiw when you will have something for the MotoX and I will be more than glad to fund you guys again no more safe strap I have the dev edition with unlocked bootloader, Thank you for all the hard work
