I also just seen the reasoning for this reading further in the mod thread. Apologies...

Yeah they are both controlled by the android.policy.jar file... How well does the volume rocker mod work cause I read in other threads that it can be finicky or app specific... That's why I decided not to put it in. We like to put in the mods that work perfect, which is why we took out ota updater until JP made it perfect ;)

I'm actively using the rocker mod and do not have any issues other than we've discussed. Works nicely on other roms as well. So if it can be done then I can't wait for it! As mentioned, I'm not at a loss by any means.

Lol, yup, but am going for 50hrs continuous use with no charge, no reason why a battery should need charged after 8/12hrs, I have made it to 37hrs, I know its possible, I will get there.

this is what I have done on previous ROMs to ENHANCE BATTERY LIFE: screen display auto adjust off and set looowww, black wall paper or black image, screen time out short as possible, all auto sync disabled, I only sync when necessary, I use k9 email as it will not run in background also only check mail from phone when necessary(as I have computers at home) have disabled all notifications through out ROM, deep sleep battery saver is a must I set on aggressive, I go thru ROM and delete all apps I Dont need or want including set up wizard and all docking apps, on this ROM I have deleted just over 50 apps I will not need including Google music for some reason it wants to run in background, no animations as I Dont need them, I have 4 folders on home screen, 1-friends/family contacts that I use daily. 2-work people contacts I use daily. 3-apps not related to root such as email, bank, pro music player, etc. 4-all my root apps like tb, root explorer, ROM toolbox, etc. I DO NOT use widgets. I totally wipe internal/SD storage as can build up from flashing all these great ROMs and never know what lingers. I do not use touch tones or any kind of vibration and I stick with the standard keyboard as it is dark. I calibrate my battery and let it run down dead 4/5 cycles(fully charge to dead as dead can be. I will do that every time I am on a new ROM or every 4/6 weeks. For some reason my battery likes the trickle charge(after 4/5 cycles). Also deleted back up assistant, Dont need it. I use Facebook, poker, this app, music(MP3 format only) beats audio, etc. I compare build props and do a lot of googling as far as battery tweaks go and add/delete(trial and error). I Dont download large things with my phone, I use laptop for that. This is my set up, my preferences, I am sure not everyone will agree as they will want more from there phone, but am simple.. Also, under clock 800/600 as is already.. If I remember anything else I will post, CPU sleeper sure but I believe interactivex does the same.. Thanks

Very impressed...

You mentioned Wiping Ext/Int fields to clean possible residuals from prior flashed ROMs...doesn't wiping the System do the same thing?

K-9...
Syncing when requested is Awesome...

Running Background data seems to Be one of the biggest culprits for draining battery life and syncing Apps....

:D
Hey, you keep disabling features I'm going to buy you a flip-phone that looks like s RAZR Phone

as far as wiping data I am dual booted so I go back to ICS format internal and SD card factory reset, of course back up what I want first to computer, it keeps root and safe strap, I Dont even set up stock ROM, just enough to get a few things on there for dual boot.. thats the only way i know for sure everything is clean. lol@flip phone

Evening JP...

Well,
This ROM is not as Fast as a Cheetah chasing its prey...But let me tell yaa, the FlyingJelly ROM is Nipping at the Cheetah's Tail...Its a Smok"in my friend

What an Awesome ROM...Absolutely No issues at all...its my Daily Drive and I pound the hell out of my phone with heavy usage...

Battery Life for me is 14 to 16 hours Max...Very pleased...Going to try some Ideas from iamhugger to see if I can get some more Shelf Life on my battery...
