With all this talk about possible corrupt SD either internal or external affecting ROM installs, is there an app anyone knows of that can scan given card for possible errors or corruption or is this just a trial and error situation?

Thanks Rnh,First, you've helped so many people you deserve a big pat on the back. I'm just going by experience. One wipe and permissions fix is probably enough after a complete set up of a blur rom. But if things aren't working right and they have been for other people in the forums then it's time to decide if your int and ext cards need to be wiped. Try internal first.because you shouldn't have much on it to transfer to the computer after backing up your roms. Equally, If the external card is corrupt, the rom you put on it will be wonky which is why you see so many people having problems with the non-blur roms not booting, gps and mms problems etc. Most are due to i and e card corruption, IMO. My wife's phone is a yr old and I can onlu use a rom slot twice for a cm rom before I need to wipe her int. card or the rom will just not work properly for example.
Okay my friend, so wiping the Int or Ext is this done in Stock... my gut says Yes

Since you don't seem to be having any problems Bubba, don't wipe. It involves backing up roms, transferring everything to the computer, then transferring files and folders back after wiping. A real time consumer if your doing the external and you have a lot of stuff. And you can wipe from any blur rom. After rebooting the phone goes to the stock rom anyway if the int sd is wiped.

Awesome question...
If They have an App that can check the pitch of my Roof...it would be Nice for corrupt files...
Now,
if they only had an App to change my Wife to look like "Carrie Underwood"

Are you having problems? If not don't worry about it. If so, then follow the above and decide what you need to wipe. And no there is not any app I'm aware of.

Hi all! Let me start out by saying that i enjoy this super clean ROM!No bloating great updates, and after having this ROM since late April of this year & reading this fantastic forum....awesome support! Now for the reason why i am posting, not that there is any problem, however my Maxx seems to lag more often then not at times. Is there a particular governor/scheduler that i should be using? I think i have tried them all but too many different combinations to find out. I have tested the minimum clock anywhere from 300 to 800, doesn't seem to make any difference. I just didn't want to go over 800 and overclock.
Also when i activate the hotspot(cool as all h*** btw) on about the 2nd or 3rd consecutive time in as many days without a re-boot, it gives me an error and disconnects. I fix this by rebooting, but just kind of a pain.
Any suggestions to these two issues? Thanks very much!

Evening Sir Curts...
My current App that I use for Lag issues is Serveral...
Cache Cleaner NG...I think its Awesome
- Mine is set to Clean every 12 hours all the settings you need are giving within this App
SetCPU...Yup its Awesome too
- My Governor is set on Hotplug
- I/O is Set to Deadline...Its set on 600...(800 is also a great choice as well)
- CPU Time Spent 17% at 600 and 32% at 300 But I do get a Full ranch of good % performance making my phone be very Crisp, Fast, No Lags and Runs like a Deer
In addition to Awesome Battery Life...One other that I use more for Battery Life is Juice Defender Ultimate...

Hey thanks Mr Persuader! I downloaded cache cleaner ng. It ran with no issues, so I'll schedule it nightly and see how she works. Thanks also for the hot plug/deadline suggestion. I didn't know if there are combinations for overall general performance, or speed, or battery life ect. Not sure if this is based on opinion or past experiences. Any other suggestions are more than welcome too. How about the hotspot issue? Will keeping the cache cleaned up possibly resolve this as well?
Hotspot Issues...Explain?
Note:
Its based on Experiences and Performance...Solid Results with No Issues at all...
Honestly, this is Totally Awesome...My Daily Drive...

Well Bubba when i activate the mobile hotspot for my daughter to have wifi, the 1st time after a reboot, all is good. I usually do this in the evenings after i get home from work, then deactivate it before bedtime. The next evening...sometimes...when i go to repeat this, i will attempt to activate, it will be active very briefly, i will see that it says error very quickly, then it deactivates. However if not on the 2nd evening, then most definitely will the 3rd evening. Now keep in mind i only reboot my phone about once a week or so. Now if i cannot get mobile hotspot to activate, i do a reboot, then all is good, until this cycle repeats itself all over again. I didn't know if this was a bug or what. Just wanted to see if anyone else might have experienced this and what they did to resolve it. I have since wiped the cache & dalvik, and fixed permissions as i have read this previously. Maybe this will do the trick. Haven't had the chance to try that out. Thanks again Bubba for all your help!

* Reason
Reboot- It Reactivates or refreshed the UI System
* IMO...
I would power down your phone at least 3 times a week...it just recon figs or Realigns the Ducts again for better performance
* Quick Boot Plus App
Love this App Why, it has a Hot Boot command that will refresh my Wifi or Bluetooth when they Do Not show up in the notification screen when flashing New ROMs or Restore I'll hit Hot Boot it's quicker than the wipes... shortcut sorta speak

Yes, initially I did all of those before installing FJ. Everything installed perfectly with no issues. Are you saying I should do all those tasks again? I recently did cache, dalvik, and fixed issues, however it still does it to me. Like i said, it's not the end of the world, just a mere inconvenience.

You can do a backup and try to connect fresh without restoring data then restore data and try again
