Did 3.01 really fix GPS? I thought there was still another fix coming for that. My GPS still takes forever to lock.
+1
It should have fixed it... try wiping cache and dalvik and maybe fix permissions... if not try reflashing 3.0.1 with cache and dalvik wipes

Here's a question,
Most everyone's GPS works...I was looking for more Posters having this same issue but seems to be a handful...
Explain to me Why this happens...The only thing I can think of was the apk might have been deleted in Error or removed...Just don't get it...
Never had any Issues with Any GPS, Bluetooth on any Dev's ROM including this one...
Maybe You or jonwgee can explain why this fix is available and why it has to be added to the System when its probably their to start...
Thanks Man...More curious to know why...

Awesome! Thanks! Somehow I missed this one. Seems to be the ticket. Almost instant GPS lock now.
That's ok, It's not in this thread but in the cm10 thread post # 1476. Maybe he pulled the file from a cm10 build that got a quick lock.

Hi Bubba. I think depending on how old the phone is and how much flashing is done the int and ext sd cards can get corrupted more and more quickly and get to the point where things just start to go wrong or roms, especially the non-blur ones quickly get corrupted and quickly go to hell. Also it is very important, as you certainly know to wipe cache, dalvik and fix permissions which solves a lot of problems. This goes double with the non-blur roms. I just installed one on my wife's phone and gps and mms started working properly only after I did the cache dalvik and permission fixes TWICE. Frequent int. and ext. sd card wipes are equally important IMO.

Awesome Buddy, (rnh)
Thank you...Nice stuff to know just in case Mine Sheets the Bed hopefully not...
I will Always Wipe Caches...However, sometimes I don't just to see what happens....Oooooh yes, it comes around in different ways in Performance...Now Permission, is this just for Rooting for accessing Specific Apps like Root Explorer, Safestrap, Busy Box...Etc
Is this anything like a File being Corrupt in our system and than Quarantine so everything else keeps working...then eventually the system Blow up...Yes/No?
You mentioned Twice on a Wipe...Do you really get all Data out on 1 Wipe only...always wonder if its does...Most say Yes...
Hell If I know...

First, you've helped so many people you deserve a big pat on the back. I'm just going by experience. One wipe and permissions fix is probably enough after a complete set up of a blur rom. But if things aren't working right and they have been for other people in the forums then it's time to decide if your int and ext cards need to be wiped. Try internal first.because you shouldn't have much on it to transfer to the computer after backing up your roms. Equally, If the external card is corrupt, the rom you put on it will be wonky which is why you see so many people having problems with the non-blur roms not booting, gps and mms problems etc. Most are due to i and e card corruption, IMO. My wife's phone is a yr old and I can onlu use a rom slot twice for a cm rom before I need to wipe her int. card or the rom will just not work properly for example.
Posted 05 July 2013 - 11:25 AM
By the way, that is why so many people don't have a data signal after installing a blur rom and waiting for a signal to show before signing in initially. If they place the same rom in another slot and get a data signal it means the int. sd card is corrupt for that slot. If they don't get a data signal then the int sd card is more corrupt or the ext card is corrupt and has corrupted the rom or both cards are corrupt.
