And I think its gonna get even better. After we are done with flyingjelly on the bionic, we are going to make a major update for this. More like a complete overhaul.

When you do the overhaul will you include the install instructions with more detail the what's currently provided. Only asking because i'm reading all the posts and I don't see anywhere where someone said either
"download the 2.1 Download file then the 2.1.1 Patch file and flash in that same order"
or
"simply download and flash the 2.1.1 Patch file for a fresh install"
I haven't downloaded or tried installing this yet, simply reading all the posts and saw this one so figure i'll wait it out since the whole thing is being redone anyway.

Anybody else still having trouble with the ringtone? Love this ROM, but still losing the ringtone. Also, sometimes it has the correct ringtone selected, and the volume is up, but still only buzzes...

I have the ringer problem on all the .16 ROMs. I have not been able to pinpoint the problem or find a solution. All the ringtones are stored on the internal SD card. I have tried wiping the Dalvek cache. I have tried using Zedge to see if that would help force the issue. So far no joy. I have gone back to stock for now but it is not as fast nor a smooth as most ROMs.

Are you getting your Ringtones from a Third Party App? Ie...Zedge...

Nope. At first I had an MP3 from my external sd-card. Later, I put it into the System/Media/Audio/Ringtones folder, and it still loses it... At random it would just vibrate, and when I checked the ringtone, it said 'unknown ringtone'. Now on occasion it just vibrates even though it knows the ringtone.

I have tried everything. I love this ROM, and don't want to change from it. I have set up a SmartAction tha tsets the ringtone every time the screen status changes, as a temporary work around, and it helps, but I really need to hear it when it rings...

Okay,
Just a guess, but I think when you changed your Path process into a Folder its possible it change your System to Recognizing the Media Storage for your Ringtones...
Whatever you changed its Defaulting your changes...Try to undo what you did and get it back to where it was before...
In Root Explorer, your process to Ringtones or Path is the same as mine but when I want to change a Ringtone...
I goto Settings...Sounds. Ringtones...Media Storage...Than gives me the same list of Ringtones as your process from System to Ringtones....
Its something you changed that Defaulted your Path to Keep the Ringtone of your choice...
Back step your process what you did to get it into your folder....Back to Ground Zero...

When I first installed my setup crashed when Google was restoring my info and I had no launcher. I would press home and nothing would happen. I had to install the nova launcher for anything to work. Should I start fresh and try again? I am running on .16 ota
Yup, start fresh...for what its worth...reread the original FJ post...follow the process and you should have No issues with installation...
Shouldn't make a difference which Launcher you use...
Good luck this ROM is Awesome my friend

Did you wipe /data after flashing? If you did, that's your problem. The launcher is in /data

I *may* have found the solution, though I can't be 100% sure just yet. I set the ringtone, then booted into Recovery/Advanced and ran Fix Permissions. It seems to be stable once again, but won't know that for sure for another day or two.

Help me out here...
Isn't Media Storage a System Apk? If its in the System why do you need to Fix permissions?
If so, settings, Sounds, Choose your Ringtone...than Reboot should acknowledge the change to your Chosen Ringtone...
Yes/No?
