One comment and one question -

I installed the Kryton (Not sure if that is the right spelling) theme. I like it. After install I had issues with gmail continually stopping. "Unfortunately gmail has stopped." Tried all kinds of stuff. My other google accounts were fine. Uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted, wiped data etc. Noticed in the play store that gmail kept needing to be updated. Tried that a couple times and got a message about the package file not being signed correctly and that I should uninstall previous versions and install again. After the second or third time getting the message gmail started working. Just a mystery. It is fine now. Also had a bunch of stuff that I had removed from my play store account download and install. That is easily dealt with, but seems a bit strange as well.

The question I have seems a bit embarrassing because I should be able to figure this out. I have the folder of Flying Jelly Wallpapers on my SD card. I guess it was installed by the ROM. I cannot get these to be available to set as wallpaper. I tried putting them in my camera folder on both internal and external SD, but they don't show up in the gallery for use as wallpaper. What is the best way to get them to be available as wallpaper?

Thanks

Its odd that they aren't showing up in the gallery. Theres another way to do it though. Using a file explorer or your choice, navigate to the folder of wallpapers and tap a wallpaper to bring it up in the gallery. The hit the menu key and tap "set picture as" . tap wallpaper. Then you can crop the wallpaper as you like (they are already optimized for the screen size, so just drag the crop to fill the screen) and tap OK.

Hope that helps

What ROM did you have installed before this? Did you wipe data before installing FlyingJelly?

I was using liquidsmooth before I flashed this one...I am kind of an addict to flashing ROMs...I deleted the ROM slot and wiped cache and delv and data prior to creating the rom slot again and just for measure wiped it all again after creating the slot and then flashed

That's interesting. I went through a clean install of 2.1 and updated to 2.1.1 and my hotspot works fine. I would recommend using the utility to restore to stock and start over

I upgraded my stock side to the OTA, (.16) kernel, and flashed the 2.1 full, then the 2.11 patch to a new slot, and it runs GREAT. Except... I still have the problem of losing the ringtone at random, and having 'unknown ringtone' when I check it... Same problem I had on the version of this ROM for the .8 leak. I had hoped it would be fixed in this version. Is anyone else seeing this? I have copied the ringtone to the 'system/media/audio/ringtones' folder, and it still loses it at random. The phone still vibrates, just no sound, until I assign it again.
I do not have any smart actions configured, in case that was changing it...

Thanks!

Thanks, I appreciate it. The ring tone in question is an .mp3, I had it in the music folder on my external SD card at first, then copied it into the ringtones folder, same thing.

So it wasn't in the original list of ringtones?

No, it is an MP3 file. A song. Originally it was in a sub-folder about 4 levels down on my external SD card, when it began losing it, I copied it to the appropriate system folder, and set it from there. It still loses it at random...

You need to be on 2.1 then take the 2.1.1 update then use any of the themes on jayrods thread
