Don't see any such post. Installing that app - it does not run for me... just spins

Ok the OTHER busybox installer worked. After installing it, My BackupPro will open. Also Quadrant score was 2200 before and after installing bb it was 2500+. So what is happening to busybox, or is the 2.3.6 motofail root not installing it?

DT - I appreciate your hard work, but can you please remove the download or stipulate in the OP that the ICS builds will cause bootloop? I know it's my responsibility to read before flashing but it would really help others new to the razr to avoid the getting stuck at bootloop.

I used it as well and same result

-
Thanks for the emailing me the file - i did install the ICS Extreme and its working great for me. i love the fact that its Moto, De-bloated but includes the app's that I like. Also, has all the speed upgrades (Great idea).

I downloaded the file to remove the black on black txt but, after reading the posts, I will not flash until root cause is found.

One issue that I have not debugged: Mybackup pro will not load - i will spend time on this issue later today

New Ideas for a ROM:
DSP Manager would be great ( i will try loading apk onto this ROM later today)
overclock in the init file (with all the stock setting) again I will have time to see if this works with this ROM later this evening

Thanks, again GREAT WORK!

From having a few others test this, what I can tell is this.
If you flash DroidTh3ory's original ics zips you are fine.
Then after that you can flash my addon and it should work fine.
The issue came with the files that combined the two.

I have had zero problems with the originals and then your menu fix added. I was able to go to the extreme version, add facebook back. The only thing I miss is the universal messaging box as I have 7 accounts (business & personal) and it is nice to have a quick look. I edited the script again, removed the messaging references, reflashed and still not there. I probably missed something silly, will look at it again. Great work by you guys! Thats why I donate :-)
But wait....if you're here, who's running hell?

Did you restore a working backup with universal messaging before reflashing Clutch? If the script removes it then it was already gone, there would be no way for the script to "put it back".

Just flashed your menu fix and it worked GREAT. No more black on black text.

OKAY on to my next issue with Mybackup pro.

if u are having the same issue as me - it's your busybox install. Reinstall it. My only question is why is busybox affected??

Most likely because the busy box used in the root tool is older than the one I use.

Never mind this post. I saw someone post about how the ICS mods cause boot loop, which is what I was seeing. I decided to use the non-ICS CLUTCH ROM, and it works like a charm.

Thanks!

OK, I'm a total newbie at this. I've tried to apply the ROM's to my .173 RAZR on Verizon, and each time I end up with a bricked device which I then factory reset and then upgrade back to .173. Could you give me a spoon, and let me know where I'm going wrong?

This what I've done.
1) Download CLUTCH_CONVERSION_EXTRM_ICS_ROM_SIGNED.zip. Its filesize is 7737897.
2) Copy it to the sdcard.
3) Root my device.
4) Install razr bootstrapper.
5) Bootstrap recovery.
6) Reboot recovery.

Then the phone reboots.

7) Delete cache.
8) Go into advanced, then delete dalvik.
9) Install zip from sdcard.
10) Let it reboot, and then it comes up bricked.

I've tried variations of steps 7-9, i.e. delete data, then delete dalvik, then install. Just install, etc. Nothing seems to work.

I've also tried the non-extrm rom as well.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

The app needs the OLD version of Busy box. Download the Installer from Market.

The 2.3.6 motofail root uses an old busybox version, 1.17 something

I installed the standard debloated version per the install instructions, all works great except Netflix. I just get a black screen and it never starts. I deleted and redownloaded the app and it still does it. Any suggestions?
Thanks for the great rom.

i've read through the entire post too see if anyone else had the same issue as me lol. Like last week when i got my razr back i installed this had like no issues installing or anything but every since i installed i had $#!+ for battery life..... i charge my phone at work cause i use my phone for google music. but when i go to sleep i leave my phone unplugged in 6 hours i went from 80% down too 10% without even touching my phone.. i installed cpu spy on my phone and found my phone wasnt entering "deep sleep" and in my battery useage android system and motorola services were draining more battery then my display lol. i loved how smooth my phone was on this and thanks DT for this awesome mod.. but i was wondering for i did something wrong or or is there a way to fix this that i missed i sbf'ed and updated too .173 again and really wanna give this another go... oh i used the blur extreme debloat
