Backup pro opens but is just a black screen.

I have the same issue with Backup Pro. If you don't give it root access, it will open though. I did a restore with mattlgroff's 1.31, updated to 1.73, then rooted with his utility as well. Then installed bootstrap, Clutch Extreme, then signed into the market and pulled down Backup Pro. Black screen and will not start...

I responded somewhere in this thread stating what I had to do to fix it.


Install jrummys busybox in market then run it and install it.

I need some help and am not sure where to turn as search has turned up nothing. I rooted and installed safestrap and made a few backups. I came across this site and wanted to install the standard stock ui. I uninstalled faststrap and installed bootstrap and installed the stock ui. I then deleted bootstrap and reinstalled safestrap and it said that it sucessfully installed. When the phone boots I get the option to press menu, but no matter how many times I press menu nothing happens untill the phone finally boots into the rom.

How can I get safestrap wprking or at least get my safestrap stock backup working in boot strap?
Again I know this isnt the forum for this but I cant find any thing else and at least one of you may have had it happen.

The same thing happened to me. Started with safestrap and then went to bootstrap. Deleted bootstrap and all the folders associated with it (I thought). Reinstalled safestrap and it would not let me boot into recovery. I ended up using RSD Lite and started all over again. I do not know if there is a quicker or easier way, but that worked for me!

Well the standard version doesn't touch Facebook at all. And I'm running a modified extreme version (modified to keep Facebook) and I don't have problems. So you problems are likely not related to this

The busybox installer pro by jrummy16? It wont open either man, just constantly shows the loading animation....

free version does the same....

If this is the case, I will take the links down. Those files are the original ones DroidTh3ory put up. I just made a simple fix in one xml file to change the black on black menu issue.
Has anyone else used the links I just put up?
According to Mediafire 17 people have downloaded those 2 files. If you have flashed either one, please speak up. Whether it worked or not.

The easiest thing is to just install the Friendcaster app from the market. Otherwise, you are going to have to put back in a few system files and setup their permissions.
