No I'm from central Wisconsin, I have seen this issue before with other roms but ever since I updated to the first nightly version after the stable it has this. I have tried starting over and Installing the stable version but it still says I'm roaming. Reception also seems to be poor for some reason. It should be 4G lte service here. All it has is the little R next to my signal bars.

Thanks for the help so far, hope we can get this fixed

Have you tired wiping cache, dalvik cache and fixing permissions? If you are able to get service on stock, then you should be able to get it on this one.

As previously mentioned, blur based ROMs can get better signal through tweaks. I tried putting these tweaks in CM and some of them stuck, but the signal drop, compared to a blur based ROM with signal tweaks, is still noticeable. As for AOKP, I wasn't able to get many signal tweaks to stick so that has stock signal strength.

If you are still having poor signal, try a blur based ROM for now, or search for signal tweaks for CM10.1 and see if any of those help.

Yes, It's always important to wipe dalvik cache, cache and fix permissions which corrects the read write and read only permissions for all of the apps, files, etc so they all function properly. Do it before an upgrade and after an install and then, if the rom isn't working right as in carricos' case, do the 3 wipes again.

I have upgraded, I'm currently on the “Stable" version they released a week or so ago. I haven't upgraded to any night lies because I have been a little busy lately, and haven't really had time to deal with any of the bugs that might be coming along with the nightlies. But I will try the method you suggested, thanks

Seriously, The Bugs are Few and you can use this ROM with No Problem as your "Daily Drive"

Hi Bubba. That's what fixing permissions does. It "permits" all of that stuff to function properly in the rw ro environment. That's why, for example gps will get a fix after a permissions fix because the files neccessary for that function now work . You can see this if you download rom toolbox lite, go to root browser, long press on an app or file and press  permissions and look at it. Clearing cache and dalvik cache clear collected data and junk that has accumulated in various apps and stuff you've used that can interfere with a clean upgrading download.

Read the change logs on the nightlies, you'll see that they are mostly bug fixes or additional language translations for certain apps .They don't really add new experimental stuff that would cause new bugs. There is no risk to starting fresh with the latest nightly as opposed to the "stable" version...

Yeah I was just looking into that, somebody also PMed me suggesting I should do the same, so I will :) thanks guys!

On a side note, does anybody have any wallpapers that look really nice with the Halo glass theme that they don't mind sharing? Every wallpaper I have that I think looks nice always makes messaging and other apps a little hard to read

I usually just use one of my own photos, something bland like a cloudy sky landscape. That way it isn't too busy and doesn't detract from the info on the screen

Pretty sure those two things are not being actively worked on, if you need those two features, blur Roms will be you're best bet.... [The best feature of safe strap, IMO]

I'm hoping Bluetooth Low Energy support will be added soon so that I can stop switching back to stock everytime I want to use my heart rate monitor during bike rides.  I hate switching back to stock, It gives me a yucky feeling.

What the hell is Bluetooth Low Energy... Didn't know you could have a low energy bluetooth app or built in one...

Hey,
No matter what ROM or Slot you switch to "The Beat Goes On"

Flashed successfully last night and so far so good. I like the UI and all of the options. I had one reboot this morning but other than that I like it. One question....last night I accidentally flashed to ROM Slot 1. I figured out what I did wrong and then flashed to ROM Slot 2 and rebooted and everything is fine. Can I get back into Safestrap Recovery and free up the space on ROM Slot 1? Does that make sense?

Does anybody else feel that the stock side camera somehow manages to take better pictures than the this ROM?

Zoomed in photos are better on stock. And it also has better low light photo capture. It's blurry on CM. And the HDR feature is disappointing  (but that might be hardware) .

Sure the Moto camera is better. It's software was written by Motorola specifically for this phone.....
