I keep having to coming back to this ROM lol. Currently on jellywiz. And little things here and there bother me like lack of ability to use external storage as internal. Have to wait to get home to switch back to the .16 kernel argghhhh

A bit late now but, you don't have to switch kernels to run this rom. It's a kexec rom. Kexec is an exploit that more or less hijacks the kernel and installs it's own kernel. You can be on .8 or .16 and run this rom. Makes no difference. My guess is, unless something is drastically different in the boot process, you could be on Gingerbread and run this rom. The rom doesn't use the stock kernel; it uses it's own. Wish I had a Gingerbread device to test my theory. :)

If I'm not mistaken there are enough differences between the GB & JB bootloaders to prevent this from working.

Don't doubt it but it would be interesting to try it. :)

How do you get MMS to work, seems like it's the only thing keeping me from using this as daily driver!!!

Try wiping cache and Dalvik. I'm running AOKP nightlies right now but have run this rom too. Both lose bluetooth from time to time. Wiping fixes it for me every time. Can't hurt to try it. ;)

I have been on this ROM for about 2 months as my daily driver and I like it so far. Nice vanilla experience and rc5 is running great. With juice defender battery life is ridiculous.

Does anyone have issues with background data running it of control? I have some media apps (xiialive, iheart radio, netflix) that are using tons of gigabytes without being open. Or without being in the "running apps" list.

Check your actual data usage. Similar Rom Carbon showed insane data usage for my apps too. It's incorrect. Currently showing 34.6gb but in reality only used about 1.2gb. Haven't heard of a fix yet

Your choice, press the file in the update list to see the Changelog for each version. If it looks like something meaningful was updated, flash the nightly. If not, stick with the RC

Running RC5, I just tried to take a screenshot, the phone rebooted on its own, then once it booted, it was as if I had factory reset it. All my settings and applications were gone. Tried deleting the slot and restoring but now, every time i reset the phone, its as if it is factory reset.

Anyone else having a similar issue? What the hell happened?

Anyone else getting a lot of SODs? I keep having to go back to RC4. Also, every newer update gives me a lot of issues everytime I go to vibrate and then back to normal.

Sent from my Droid Razr Maxx on JB 4.2.2 kexec

RC5 screenshot. The only problems I have is not being able to text pictures, other than that it's stable!

There is an easy fix for that. My wife has cm on her phone and I found the solution in this forum. Go into setting/more/access point names. Then press the plus sign on the upper right and use LTE-Verizon Internet. Under Name put Verizon. under APN put VZWINTERNET. under MMSC put -

and don't forget to save all of these values before exiting each area. You now have mms.

Perhaps you can help me. How do you attach a screenshot to the forum writeup?
