I

Try installing GPS Status from the Google Play Store. Of interest would be how many GPS satellites it sees. I just went through this, as I'm on my 3rd MAXX in two weeks (first one stopped seeing that it was on any kind of dock either than to charge it, and the first replacement had bad GPS hardware, as it saw no satellites. I used Matt's Utility and RSDLite multiple times on both phones to no avail).

That really sucks. But my phones gps did work @ one point. Well I tried GPS Status, I turned on GPS and it just stays on "searching for gps location" and it says 0/0 fix/sat. I also went into settings and reset but no luck @ all.

Hey. I am on 5-06, all working well. If I flash this over mine as others have said they have done, will I have to flash gapps again?

Anyone having issues sending or receiving MMS messages? I can't do either. I saw some old posts about people having to disable WiFi to get them to go through, tried that and still no luck.

So after years of being sober from the world of rom flashing, rooting, jail breaking etc, I finally relapsed this week.  And this is the first android device I've ever flashed and all I can say is this rom was worth it.  It's so freaking smooth, it's like when I'm using my google nexus 7, which is a QUAD CORE DEVICE!!  lol  And that camera.... wow.  And back in the day, (when there was just windows mobile and the iphone) you flashed, and if you didn't like or wanted to try others, you flashed whole roms.  Now there's safe strap allowing you to have multiple roms right on your device and active simply from a reboot!!!  Man, I've been away too long!!!

Fixed the MMS issue. Just install a 3rd party messaging app (I used hand cent) and make it the default for MMS messages. All my messages send and receive just fine through there.

Just digging...

What Version of Google Maps are you on...

If you have Multiple Emails...Is maps Defaulting to your Main Account...Shouldnt make a differences...

Current Version should be 6.14.6
Last Updated...May 7th 2013
Long shot...Have you Flashed Street View On which is part of Google Maps?
Setting: Is it set for vehicles or Walking or something different...I had mine set up as Walking when Driving in Boston MA...

No Sheet...
It took me down a Closed Street that was converted to Sidewalk...Thought the street was pretty narrow...Shop Owner knocked on my window...going very slow...asked me If I was delivering something...I said No...Why do you ask I said...
Well, Your on a Public Sidewalk in Boston...

Lastly, maybe reach out to one of the Developer at Google Maps...

Haha thats a funny story, but I think this is more of a hardware issue than an app issue. Even Yelp can't lock in GPS it just stays searching.

I had the same behavior on my first replacement, and nothing I did including RSD Lite and Matt's utility addressed the issue of GPS not seeing satellites, unfortunately. Since I play Ingress A LOT, that was a deal breaker for me on that replacement.

Also, I had a Verizon rep tell me it might be a bad SIM card, but I proved to myself beyond a shadow of a doubt that the phone does NOT require a SIM card for GPS to work properly, A-GPS, perhaps, since it has to download data from the internet, but not GPS itself. So if that is suggested, you can try it, but I'll be surprised (but happy for you at the same time) if it works.

Good luck to you, I hope you get it fixed.

Thanks for your help, hopefully I won't have to go to Verizon for this.

ROM is great and runs buttery smooth but I've consistently had issues with any AOSP rom on my maxx with the bluetooth.. Only works intermittently. I.e. when I go to try and turn it on the switch snaps right back to OFF and won't turn on. sometimes a reboot and/or a cache/dalvik wipe will fix it, only for it to stop working again later on.  Sucks cuz I'm in love with CM otherwise!

Full wipe required for the RC version?

Given how many people are having problems on the RC, I would suggest it, Moksha.

For everyone having issues with GPS, WiFi, or MMS. Reflash, do your wipes, delete the slot, try reinstalling Safestrap after completely wiping your memory. There's lots of potential fixes. So far, all these things seem to be hit or miss, but right now, they're all working for me on 5/10, and they were on RC, too. Just try, try again.

RC2 is working Awesome so far...

I'm hope they will make a change in Performance...changing the CPU Min  Frequency from 300 MHz to 600 to get Some of the Lag on this ROM...

I'm finding if my setting are at Min 600 MHz...everything is very responsive and quick...My other Daily Drive is set at 600 MHz and works Awesome...

This ROM is Awesome too and No Issues at All...

You could explore some of the optional kernels out there that allow tweaking of CPU values....

Can someone test out netflix and let me know if the phone still gets really hot with the newest version? I had this issue on 4/29 so I removed CM10.1.

Sent from my DROID RAZR using Xparent Skyblue Tapatalk 2

Please, I've posted twice regarding the overheating of the phone when streaming ANY video over the phone for around a half hour on it, Netflix, Hbo, YouTube..etc with little response as this poster is getting from the forums? The phone gets SO hot that it could potentially burn you or destroy your phone, I understand the risk is mine and really don't need to be reminded of that again, just looking for a solution or an idea as to what can be done, appears that the "gps" issue is an Important part of the rom but the overheating I would think would grab someone's attention, my thoughts were that this was a place that we could post potential problems and get input not necessarily by the devs but the community, after 2 attempts I finally received a response stating that sorry but this is your phone and as stated in the devs disclaimer your risk?  No help or suggestions, as with this poster who posted yesterday and has yet to get any recognition for the post? Not trying to start a issue here just not sure of why certain issues are responded to and others that could FRY your phone are not addressed, not a newbie to flashing started with the droid with no locked boot, so I've tried everything in my knowledge base to find a cause for this, unless it doesn't use the gpu that's built in for graphics and putting a load on the omap 4430 processor? or the 2 memory chips that's located toward the top? Battery? Any suggestions would help? Look I'm running the rc-2 now but wont stream video or anything that's memory intensive, so I love this rom and have been using it for months but again if this is an issue it's one that should be openly discussed by the community? But when mentioned it's ignored, or when re-mentioned, told that it's your phone your risk. I'm sure that anyone can replicate this as I've had 6 razr friends do so? Again great rom, I'm using it but this is or potentially a serious problem. IMHO. Best Wishes to all.
