Okay,

With All the Members on this Forum...Were going to get this GPS going for you but we need some information...When you were on the Stock ROM...do you remember if you had any issues prior to Flashing RootNote, did your GPS Work on All ROMs including StockAfter you Rooted your Phone did you notice any changes within your System Apps or any unusual change that would want you to do a Factory Reset back to Stock...Out of the BoxDid you Freeze any Apps in Titiaum or ROM ManagerDid you delete Bloatware...If so, Which onesAre you on Safestrap 3.11Did you Modify any apk or Cut n Paste other apk's from other ROMs to this one or any other for that matter...Did you notice any Performance Issues with your phone at that time before you Created any Slot ROM in Safestrap
Let start their...see where this leads us too...Okay Forum let help this Dude Out...

Oooooh! Droid4life...If you have any connection with those City of Angels,,,It would be a Great time to use a Life Line for help... from your Awesome Angels...

Thanks I really appreciate the response.

For the fist question my answer is, before rooting, my gps worked and also before flashing a new rom it worked.

I have only used CM since I rooted back in September.

Then I updated to the JB Kernel and the stock roms gps worked.

After I rooted I did not notice anything different in my System Apps.

I have never frozen any apps on titanium backup not on stock and not on CM, NEVER.

Never deleted bloatware, I think CM does a good job @ keeping it clean.

I am on SS 3.11

I have done a backup of all my apps on titanium backup and everytime I updated on nightlies I would restore my backups from the previous version only when I did a clean flash of course.

I'm going to try uninstalling maps and reinstalling also I'm going to use the stock slot to see if that works. I'll keep you guys updated. Thanks a million.

Its possible all your backups is causing Your Maps Not to Update your GPS?

Reflashing should tell a story

Idk about him but my GPS never locks so nav just searches maps works off WiFi so that works unless I have it off and I've tried a bunch of GPS apps to try to fix and none can find the satellites I've done full wipes deleted safe strap and all the folders and started from scratch all with no luck on any ROM or even on stock

If you restore apps via titanium, are you restoring apps AND data? If so try just restoring apps, no data.

Ok I uninstalled maps but before I dod I force closed the app then deleted data then uninstalled. It still did not work. Then I went to my stock slot which does not have anything on it but the original software right, and gps is not working it just stays searching. Maybe when I upgraded from ics to jb I broke something because even my aux port doesnt work when I plug my earbuds up to it.

Sounds like it might be time to use Matt's utility to fastboot back to a clean install of .16, then check gps on stock rom. Is it doesn't work then , it's probably hardware related

Take in mind that GPS usually has a hard time locking on when inside a building. Sometimes mine won't lock on when I'm in the middle of my house but it will lock on when I go next to a window. Just a good way to make sure if it is a hardware issue :D

Can someone test out netflix and let me know if the phone still gets really hot with the newest version? I had this issue on 4/29 so I removed CM10.1.

Great rom, I am very partial to CM since running it on my droid 2 global, and running it on HP Touchpad. I know that there are other options out there I perfer not to pay for them but is there a way to add SmartActions to cm10.1?

Thanks

Just digging...

What Version of Google Maps are you on...

If you have Multiple Emails...Is maps Defaulting to your Main Account...Shouldnt make a differences...

Current Version should be 6.14.6

Last Updated...May 7th 2013

Long shot...Have you Flashed Street View On which is part of Google Maps?

Setting:  Is it set for vehicles or Walking or something different...I had mine set up as Walking when Driving in Boston MA...

No Sheet...

It took me down a Closed Street that was converted to Sidewalk...Thought the street was pretty narrow...Shop Owner knocked on my window...going very slow...asked me If I was delivering something...I said No...Why do you ask I said...

Well, Your on a Public Sidewalk in Boston...

Lastly, maybe reach out to one of the Developer at Google Maps...

Well it sounds like maybe a fresh install of stock is in order then. Either with Matt's utility or rsd fast boot.

Try installing GPS Status from the Google Play Store. Of interest would be how many GPS satellites it sees. I just went through this, as I'm on my 3rd MAXX in two weeks (first one stopped seeing that it was on any kind of dock either than to charge it, and the first replacement had bad GPS hardware, as it saw no satellites. I used Matt's Utility and RSDLite multiple times on both phones to no avail).

Running RC1 and it's awesome! No problems (yet). Then again, I've only had it for about 3 hours

That really sucks. But my phones gps did work @ one point. Well I tried GPS Status, I turned on GPS and it just stays on "searching for gps location" and it says 0/0 fix/sat. I also went into settings and reset but no luck @ all.

I had the same behavior on my first replacement, and nothing I did including RSD Lite and Matt's utility addressed the issue of GPS not seeing satellites, unfortunately. Since I play Ingress A LOT, that was a deal breaker for me on that replacement.

Also, I had a Verizon rep tell me it might be a bad SIM card, but I proved to myself beyond a shadow of a doubt that the phone does NOT require a SIM card for GPS to work properly, A-GPS, perhaps, since it has to download data from the internet, but not GPS itself. So if that is suggested, you can try it, but I'll be surprised (but happy for you at the same time) if it works.

Good luck to you, I hope you get it fixed.

Just curious, anyone know if the newest nightly (5/10) is improving upon the RC1 or the previous nightlies? Crackflashing obviously.
