Has anyone been having problems downloading the udates from their phones because I have.

Goto Setting....CM Updates...Chose New Version...this release all the updated versions...Try that...If Stable is Highlighted that could be some of your issues...

My phone's gotten hot on stock or not when streaming video. Screen on, battery drain, high 4g usage, it's always gotten really warm. Switching to WiFi helps out a lot, but that's all my experience can say about it.

As to which potential/perceived issues gets priority, the answer I would give is a bit cold, but something just like it is in the OP: "it's your hardware, your concern." The devs will work on what they do. Which code or ROMs you flash is your responsibility.

I do understand that and don't expect any specific priority update for myself but I do believe this is something that is hazardous to the phone, I was using No charger watched a 1.5 hour movie over Wi-Fi and the top back of the phone become so hot that I couldn't touch it, turned it off and put it in front of the freezer for a few, Circuitry is not designed to handle heat at that level for any period of time, again not trying to ripple the water, BUT if this is a potential problem with the roms then it should be mentioned as one? As it seems I'm not alone on this and I'm sure it can be replicated easily by anyone, regarding stock, never had that issue with it, not any other rom I've flashed and I've flashed hundreds over the last 4 years (other than my bionic). I realize that it's my choice and I'm running cm 5/1 now as I find these roms to be the best out at the moment and hats off to the dev's, just making a point that if this is a stable problem with this then please mention in the Header so crackflasherz know going in?  So as to not try to stream long videos and potentially damage the phone, my phone, my choice, my burnt circuit board, or speaker wires, etc.. was just trying to contribute, thought that was what this was for? Problems with the rom?

Just started on this train. I am on the 4/29 build. For every nightly, do we wipe the cache and install over? or wipe everything?

I tried doing that and have been having probs with the installs. Screen just hangs after reboot, even after I delete the slot and do a clean install. I think I'm just gonna have to take a break from cm10 for a bit. Love this ROM tho.

Ok... 5/2 working great, but a minor annoyance... Call comes in. I reject it by choosing the text message shortcut, to send the caller a quick custom message. The stock messaging app opens. Any way to change this to a different messaging app?

  • This is a great ROM. I love the CM functionality. When I first flashed this, it was lightning quick. Now, after running it a few weeks and a moderate amount of apps installed (I have about 2 1/2 pages in the drawer) it lags terribly. Also, there is an issue with it recognizing the bluetooth. I can't turn it on. The function is just grayed out. This is a frustrating issue, and I experienced it with the wi-fi before as well. Seems the only way I've been able to fix is to reflash, but that's just a temporary fix as it happens again a few days later.

Right, but I can't get it to open when I choose messaging to reject a phone call. Only stock opens for me.

I really don't know if this would work or not but I'd try converting Go SMS Pro to a system app.  It might prompt you for which one to use then.  Or, convert the stock messenging app to a user app.  I've done this with a couple other apps in the past and it did the trick for me.

Two ways to fix BT: go into SS and wipe cache/dalvik or go into apps find BT share and wipe it. Wiping cache/dalvik always works for me, the BT share not so much.

Don't know any fix for the lag but I see it myself street running the same version over a month.
