So which gapps should I use?
I think I'm gonna go ahead and switch to kitkat. Rooting and flashing is the same, right?

I'm running JBX-Kernel-2.0-Hybrid-4.4_2014-01-07 with the Jan 22 CM11 nightly.
This was a new, completely-redone, clean install on SafeStrap slot 2 (SS 3.65).
I have found no bugs at all. Everything works as expected. Performance is OK, battery life is OK. No FC's. No weirdness.
Thanks for posting that, just flashed the JBX Kernel for the first time with it (on JBX-Kernel-2.1-Hybrid-4.4_2014-01-21). Build 1/27 is running much more smoothly for me now.

Thanks again Patton. I knew that. I was actually referring to the process being the same between JB & Kitkat. Can you (or anyone) tell me how or point me in the direction to flash gapps and which one I should use. I have no idea how to do that.No. They are two separate processes. Rooting gives you access to the root directory which allows you to install a custom recovery or in the case of our omap devices, safe strap. I think flashing speaks for itself.

On build 27 I've been having issues with losing all data after 5 hours. Kinda weird. I'm going to do a clean install and report back on it.

I just tried to install cm-11-20140129-NIGHTLY-spyder.zip as well as cm-11-20140130-NIGHTLY-spyder.zip, but when I attempt to safestrap it v3.11 it fails to install error status 6. I'm trying to install this on my Droid Razr Maxx v98.72.165.XT912.Verizon.end.US OS v4.1.2 CDMA. Can someone point me to what I'm doing wrong? I am rooted.

That fixed it for, thank you so much. The only issue I have now is attempting to create an exchange account, I just get an error that says, "Can't connect to server" when it's trying to verify my credentials. I verified that they are correct. Hopefully I'll figure it out as everything else is working currently and it's super smooth. I would love to have this be my daily driver as long as I can get my work emails.I use this set. I tried the others and had the same results you did.
