I don't know about stallion . . . more likely ADD ;)

And I can confirm that a dirty flash from CM11 to Gummy is a bad idea (bootloop)

Who was recommending a Nandroid?!? :(

I can't remember. I thought it was recommended to delete the SS folder when upgrading.

But I did do a Nandroid in 3.11 and restored in 3.65 when I put Aviator Blur on the Stock slot.

Do that (Nandroid) to be safe either way.

Well, since I don't follow the common convention. I just uninstalled recovery then installed 3.65. Of course I pulled a copy of a slot across to my laptop just in case. I flashed cm 11 #16 with no issue. Who'd a thunk it?

Radio Signaling with LTE is showing a Full set of Pipes to the right...
Meaning Very Strong Signal...been in many areas today Awesome LTE coverage and No weak signals

I can't get the nightly to flash. I think it has something to do with my safestrap. But I can't update that either. It has a parsing problem. I'm on 3.11 trying to get to 3.65.
Any ideas?

I can't get the nightly to flash. I think it has something to do with my safestrap. But I can't update that either. It has a parsing problem. I'm on 3.11 trying to get to 3.65.
Any ideas?

Which ROM are you coming from?

 

Have you Created a New Slot coming from a Different ROM?

  • Nandroid your Phone...Or Backup if you wish
  • Download SS 3.65...You may have it on your SD Card already
  • Go to Stock (Rooted) or try it from your existing ROM...
  • Open your Desktop on your phone
  • Find SS 3.11
  • Open... than Uninstall Recovery
  • Than Flash 3.65...Once its complete you should see it in the Left corner with 3.65
  • Than Delete 3.11
  • If you Flashed from your Existing ROM...
  • Go to Stock Rooted and do the same...

After you've completed this task...I will always reboot to Sync to polish the system

That's good...Stay on this Version CM 10.1 to Flash the CM 11 Updates...

 

Now Flashing Safestrap 3.65 should be easy to Flash...If you're still Uncomfortable check the Search Bar for Safestrap for Updating... Don't think you'll need to if your follow the process for Flashing...

Ok, I got it. I was on cm11 experimental. Downloaded the wrong safestrap. And was trying to install from the SD card (which cm11 has a hard time with)

Downloaded correct file to internal and it worked fine.

I'm running 12/18 and it is smooth. Only one thing I can't get to work. You guessed it. Corporate email. It still gives me the android security blah, blah, blah, doesn't require SD card encryption...otherwise is smokin'.

I'm all-for starting a new CM11 thread. There are some really important FP items:

 

SafeStrap 3.50 and older do NOT work.

Major CM version change.

EDIT: 3G works great. ART is "highly discouraged" by the CM team.


If I lived . I'd be ~ by now.
