I prefer the faster performance and awesome customization options of AOSP. But, that being said, I need a reliable phone that can last through the day with battery life and get good cell reception. So I stick to Blur based ROMs.
It is true, Bubba. I can barely get through the day with AOSP ROMs and going into buildings on campus with AOSP ROMs can make my data go away.
These locked boot loader Motorola's with the 4G radio aren't as well rounded with CM and AOKP ROMs like our old Droid X's were. Battery life and reception weren't terrible on CM7 or MIUI.
So, while I like AOSP, I stick with Blur based so I can use my phone reliably.

Good morning Brad92,
Seriously, I do respect your logic with AOSP vs Blur...
Battery Life with any ROM differs greatly...I'm a Heavy user the most I get with AOSP is 12 to 16 hours...that said, 12 to 14 with a Blur ROM.
My Background Apps running at all times:
Emails, Weather, Launcher, Juice Defender and 5 others as well...
As you know, Streaming, Videos and Music kick the Sheet out of Batteries and the type of User we are...
The Best Battery Life ever for me was:
1 Day + 5 hours but, way less than Moderate Usage mostly tabled...
Or a stripped down phone with Few Apps or The Flip Phone
Just kidding...
LTE...
Signals output should be a Plus for you if your moving a lots of Data
It's Bubba
