no go I tried it and it didn't work. the phone knows when I have inserted the headphones and when I pull them out by the end piece the player stops but still no sound from the phone speakers, I could fastboot as last resort but hate to do that. I think it is hardware related.

yep several times even wiped stock slot and reflashed then resore then wipe and reflash then booted different slots no matter what no sound it's the strangest thing. what is even more puzzling is even if it were stock rom related how would that be affecting the other slots?

the fact that it is affecting all the slots makes me wonder if it's jbx related but been running it with no issues for at least a week.

I can't seem to have a consistent experience with stable 10.1.2. Using Safestrap 3.11 as the instructions say.
First time I flashed, it didn't have wifi. I tried to clear cache/dalvik, then it wouldn't boot no matter how often i tried to reflash. I deleted rom-slot1 and remade it a few times as well.
Then I gave up and tried to switch to paranoid android, which also didn't boot to splash, just stayed black. Eventually I gave up and SBF'd back to 100% stock in order to try again. Turns out my SS rom-slot1 was still there and after installing SS, it booted paranoid android right back up....
So I wiped, did a clean install of CM again and it also booted right back up, but only wifi with no data. rebooted, no wifi no data. rebooted again, got wifi/data finally and everything seemed perfect.
After full restore from titanium backup and an xposed install, I needed to reboot. Rebooted... now I'm on bootloop. hard reset, it went back to black screen. Just swithced back to the stock partition, started up, rebooted there, went back to rom-slot1, now on bootloop again.
What am I doing wrong?

Restore ONLY user apps from titanium. Restoring any System apps it's asking for trouble.I can't seem to have a consistent experience with stable 10.1.2. Using Safestrap 3.11 as the instructions say.

Cleared rom-slot1, reinstalled using 10.1.3 RC2 and the gapps that end in 812. Seems to be working fine after a reboot. Only restored apps+data. Have wifi/4g/MMS/SMS.
I guess i kept hitting apps+system data. Whoops!
thanks!

I had a similar prob few months ago. It could be jbx related (sometimes things break after a while even tho they had been working before). Try reflashing the ROM, that will clear out jbx. If you still have probs you may want to try and reformat your internal SD card. I moved all my data off the internal SD card, reformatted and put everything back. Haven't had any probs since. Its a pain, but may be worth a try.

Reflashing didn't do the trick. Downloaded a fresh copy from my browser as opposed to CM Updater & reflashed, that didn't work either. Guess I'll have to try the 9/22 build.

Got Wifi immediately with the 9/22 build, I'm thinking it's something related to the 9/23 build that is causing issues?

I also can confirm the 23 release and no wi-fi. I've been using CyanDelta to flash the nighties. After I ran it and had issues with 23, I reverted back to 22. Then I downloaded the new 23 straight from the website and placed the zip on my phone. Still no wi-fi. Will be heading back to 22 for now.

If I have 10.1.3 RC2 and want to go to the stable one released today, do I just wipe cache/dalvik and just install over it? No system/factory wipe?
