Could you humor us and install chomp SMS and see if MMS works? If I recall correctly, doesn't Handcent use it's own SERVER in the middle to send MMS? Maybe it's them causing your issue...
Ive used chomp ever since cm10 came out for the RAZR and never had an MMS not go thru...

In regard to Handcent using it's own server, I'm not 100% positive but I think by default that is disabled.  There is an option to send it through their servers if you have a res or large file size items you couldn't normally send via MMS - they refer to it as Handcent MMS+

Just had my first lockup on the 8/26 build. Had to force a restart, it was completely unresponsive. :(

Good catch with the data toggle for MMS. I never would have come across that, I never turn data off. If it was a feature in 10.1, it may eventually get implemented in 10.2 like some of the other things people have gotten used too.

That's what I figured - since CM 10.2 is so new, I figured there may still be some bugs & things may not be fully implemented as of yet.  PS: Just had my 2nd lockup & forced restart on 8/26 build.

Welp, unfortunately I had way too many issues with today's build so it's back to 8/24 for me.  Hope that resolves the freezing/lockup issues I'm having.

To clarify the issue, it looks like the placement of a key file may have changed?  See

.  Porting it over may not be an easy task, but that's best left to the masters dhacker & Hashcode, they're wizards!

Thanks for the input everyone. I'm on the 8/26 build now & am able to send/receive MMS after manually toggling data on.

I think my issue was actually related to a Tasker profile I have that disables data anytime I am connected to WIFI. I realize that data is necessary to send/receive MMS. However, didn't CM 10.1 (and possibly others) used to have a feature built in that would automatically toggle data on to send/receive a message? I've had this tasker profile since I started using the app & never had this problem on CM 10.1 previously. I'm wondering if this feature was removed or simply hasn't been updated to be compatible with Android 4.3/CM 10.2. My issues with previous builds were likely related to this tasker profile as well, NOT caused by the rom (directly).

On the other hand, if this feature is truly gone now, is there any way to rig tasker to turn on data when SENDING MMS? I've figured out how to do it when I am receiving a message but not when I'm sending one.

I've always been able to send MMS on CM10.1 and 10.2 when WiFi is on, so it seems that "toggle" feature is still there.

I don't know what's up, but other than updating from 4.2.2 to 4.3 with the change from CM 10.1 to 10.2, nothing else changed in my setup.  Yet, on the new 10.2 nightlies with wifi on & data off, MMS messages refuse to send or receive for me without manuallu enabling data.  It definitely worked on CM 10.1 for me.  Strange.

You say the toggle works for you?  When wifi is on is your data actually disabled or enabled & just not connected?

Is your wifi set up to auto connect when in range? ie; you drive home from work, you're on LTE, you walk in the house and the phone switches to wifi without you touching anything? I'm on Tapatalk, no I can't click the link in your Signature...

Actually I think its enabled and not connected. The WiFi icon appears and the LTE icon disappears but I still have bars in blue (see attached). I know when the bars are grey it means there's no data connection. I don't physically turn data off if that's what you're asking, however I never had a reason too since that's the only way to receive MMS.

jonwgee hit the nail on the head!  What my Tasker profile does is turn on my wifi when I'm in range (GPS/Network) of either home or work.  Then, after connecting to wifi, it disables my data & changes some other stuff.  My data is fully disabled unless I manually toggle it on, hence no MMS.  That is why I think this feature hasn't been patched yet.

You shouldn't need a tasker profile to do that for you....

The system won't override your tasker profile to turn on data (the profile has priority)

You are correct. I have the same setup and have the same issues on AviatorCM and its the ROM/kernel. It sometimes works but very rarely. This used to work all the time on AviatorBlur, LiquidSmooth, LiquidCore and some others, but the 10.1.2 CM seems to give me grief.

Im loving this ROM. I only wish my reception was improved. I can barely get service in the building I work in on stock. On cm10 I can't get data at all :(

I was just wondering, Why on CM do we have to wipe the cache and fix permissions every time you do a reboot?

I don't wipe cache or fix permissions on a reboot. Only had to do it on the initial switch from 10.1 to 10.2!!!
