I have a question, what is the last nightly build where it's still CM10.1? And for 4.3, where is the GAPPS package for it?

CM10.2 started rolling on 8/14.
Anything before that is 10.1

for 4.3 gapps goto
goo.im/gapps ..

No MMS for me on any of the last 3 builds, including today's 8/24 build  :(

Well, I finally figured out my WiFI issue. I was assuming that cyanogen was using the same mac address for my phone, but it isn't! It's a totally different mac address than what is used when in stock/Eclipse. Once I entered the "new" mac address into my router config (since I only allow identified mac addresses to connect wirelessly), it connected just fine.

Whew! Why is it always the simple things? ;)

Did you try replacing the apn.conf XML file with the one from your stock ROM?

No I didn't try that.  I did try using the APN Backup & Restore app from the play store but that didn't work.  Where is apn.conf located?

It's in the system/etc folder. Just make sure to match permissions after you copy it in.

Noticed a strange bug today when I made a phone call. It said I was in a call and I could merge them. It was as if I had two calls going at once. I didn't. Using the latest nightly.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I tried this & it's still a no go.  Permissions were correct, not sure what the problem is here?  Everything on stock works fine & in the past I've never had any issues with MMS while using CM. Strange.

Thanks for your suggestion.  I tried this but once again, no luck.  Any other suggestions I should try?  Other things I've tried incude trying to change/update the SMSC server in the testing menu, but everytime I tried to save the recommended number, it said "Update Error."

Other than minor issues with MMS, 8/24 has been stable for me.  Haven't had a single lockup or freeze (yet) like I was on previous builds.  I did a fresh install of 4.3 when the first nightly came out, then have been dirty flashing over the top with a cache/Dalvik/System wipe ever since.

Try installing a third party messaging app, check functionality & copy the apn.conf file. Then uninstall the the third party app & paste the copied apn.conf file in & check functionally of the stock app.

I already use a 3rd party app - Handcent SMS.  Never had issues before & I've been using it since I first got a smartphone.  It doesn't work at all right now.  Nor does the stock MMS app.

Could you humor us and install chomp SMS and see if MMS works? If I recall correctly, doesn't Handcent use it's own SERVER in the middle to send MMS? Maybe it's them causing your issue...
Ive used chomp ever since cm10 came out for the RAZR and never had an MMS not go thru...

Have you tried the VZW messaging app? Also, have you tried booting back to stock to see if MMS works there?

Thanks for the input everyone.  I'm on the 8/26 build now & am able to send/receive MMS after manually toggling data on.

I think my issue was actually related to a Tasker profile I have that disables data anytime I am connected to WIFI.  I realize that data is necessary to send/receive MMS.  However, didn't CM 10.1 (and possibly others) used to have a feature built in that would automatically toggle data on to send/receive a message?  I've had this tasker profile since I started using the app & never had this problem on CM 10.1 previously.  I'm wondering if this feature was removed or simply hasn't been updated to be compatible with Android 4.3/CM 10.2.  My issues with previous builds were likely related to this tasker profile as well, NOT caused by the rom (directly).

On the other hand, if this feature is truly gone now, is there any way to rig tasker to turn on data when SENDING MMS?  I've figured out how to do it when I am receiving a message but not when I'm sending one.

Just had my first lockup on the 8/26 build.  Had to force a restart, it was completely unresponsive.  :(
