Yes the 4.3 8/14 official nightly can be installed in any slot.

Installed the new gapps (gapps-jb-20130813-signed.zip) from recovery, wiped cache/dalvik and fixed permissions.  This fixed my play store issue as far as connection but now I have apps force closing like maps, voice, google music, etc.   I replaced some of those with TB backups which made them operational again however I can not update them with my now supposedly working google play.  In fact, I can't seem to install anything - I get the same error "Update for "app x" could not be downloaded due to an error. (Error retrieving information from server. [RPC-s-5:AEC-0)

 

Other than that, both my wifi and cell signal show white now and LTE when on LTE.  In fact everything else seems to be working pretty smoothly.

A full wipe should fix most issues. I started fresh including the new gapps and so far so good. Noticeably smoother

Sooooooo....... I've done a dirty flash over 8/13, I've flashed wiping both cache and dalvik.. and I still have no data. When I first flashed, I had a "lte" above my signal bars. Is that normal? Kept getting data drops so I rebooted and flashed again. Now I have no data. Anyone else having these issues? Would a clean wipe and install fix that? I just need my data!!! Lol

Thank you!  This worked perfectly and I can now use my persistent search box again with Nova.  Now if I could just get the play store working this thing would be just about perfect.  Any way to uninstall with TB or something and then manually install the latest apk?

I think wiping caches and fixing permissions from safestrap should fix your playstore issue. I haven't seen the issue you are seeing.

Anyone having issues with the storage? I tried to send a few pictures through messaging. When I go into gallery....it says "no internal storage"

* Created Slots

* Lags Big Time...I never had this issue

* Lost Exchange/POP Servers...Yes, Did the Wipes...Huge reason to Jump ship...

* No App Issues or Corrupt Apps..Its the same Venue

* One of these Update in Hanging Crap in my Files...It Deletes Apps from my Desktop and App Draw, Conflicts with Launchers, SMS Apps are Conflicting with something...

same here. I get the same issues after flashing the 10.2 update. Everything is screwy. Hopefully today's update will be better.

Has anyone downloaded the new GApps for 4.3? I have a feeling that the gapps that we have been using are part of the problem since they are for 4.2.

I think wiping caches and fixing permissions from safestrap should fix your playstore issue. I haven't seen the issue you are seeing. 

I actually searched the error code and the solution was essentially removing my primary google account, wiping data and cache for the play store, google services framework, and the download manager.  Then I re-added the google account, rebooted, and now all is well.

 

I will probably end up doing a full wipe here soon anyway but glad my good ol' daily driver is up and running on 4.3 now!
