Try going into Settings > Apps scroll all the way right to "All" apps, then scroll down to Media Storage. Clear cache/data on that and reboot. You'll have to re-assign your ringtones/sounds most likely, but see if they stick after that. I believe this also affects things like music and gallery thumbnails but they'll rebuild themselves after a reboot. Just something else to try.
k trying this now thanks will report back

Get rid of your Smart Actions App...its converting your Ringtones out of Media Storage...IMO...that App causes to many issuesHere is a picture of what I'm talking about. All of a sudden it just turn to unknown ringtone and you'll be left with no sound notifications at all.

Flashed 8/3 through CM updater and my phone wouldnt boot, opened in SS trying to dirty flash again.
Dirty Flashing through SS seemed to work, not sure what went wrong with the CM Updater. Just a word of caution

I have noticed a trend. When nightlies fail to install they are typically downloaded on 3g/4g. WiFi downloaded nightlies are trouble free. I download directly from the link on the first page vs the CM updater and I always manually wipe caches and flash the latest file and Gapps through Safe Strap. This is what has shown to work well for me FWIW.
No reason to flash GAPPS every time unless you wipe /system before flashing...

Google Now took a minute to respond . Let me wipe cache and let the latest update rebuild them as I open apps. Is there anyway we can incorporate this in to our ROM .
