Well, I meant when it is unlocked, sorry.

I take a lot of pics of my kid and do gchat video so losing the camera is a big deal for me. Otherwise the CM10.1 rom was absolutely awesome on this phone... super smooth and fast.

Totally understandable. I'm not aware of the technical hurdles to get it working, but hopefully, it's possible.

Got a question about this build now that I have an unlocked HD. If I flash this and decide to go back to a "stock" ROM like vitreous ... Cuz this flashes a new modified kernel. Is it safe to flash a consumer ROM back on the phone or will the modified kernel screw it up ?

Well after a couple of hours no issues except haptic feedback is not working. The stated issues exist but other than that, excellent!!!

I might be wrong, but if you unlock and backup your current setup using a custom recovery, you'll essentially be backing up the stock kernel as well.

That does sound about right. I've been locked ever since my droid x so all this kernel stuff is like a foreign language. Lol. Thanks. Better safe than a brick

Can you provide the right link for the Rom and the Gapps? I just came across this phone, and it looks like the timing couldn't have been better!!!!

My man! I was skeptical about going to another motorola phone with the whole locked bootloader crap, but it seems like my trade paid off. Traded my HTC WP 8x for this Razr HD and a Razr M. Not to shabby!

I'm not sure if those gapps will work. It says don't use on 4.2.1. They are for 4.2.2. I think the link for the correct one has been removed, I dl'd it a long time ago. I have cm10.1 installed now and it's running great! No more lag and at times it seems quicker then my laptops lol

Also is anyone else having problems with TB restoring apps on this ROM? It keeps hanging on the restoring action. I've done 2 clean installs of this ROM but no dice on getting this issue resolved. Any help would be appreciated

Not sure but the file structure might be different when trying to restore from TB.

It's been my experience when jumping to something new like this, SS to TWRP, it's soooo much better to do a completely clean install. With so amny different apps and data involved there is too much room for error.

Too often people restore things and want to blame the ROM/Kernel for their problems when it's actually caused from not doing a clean install.

Just my experience and 2 cents.
