So, I flash on Slot 1 no problem after wiping everything. SS 3.11. Slot 1 is Active and SS shows as Enabled. When I reboot system, the screen stays black...
sounds like your not on the right kernel. what system do u have active on stock ROM, or if you used the ROM compatibility tool which option did you run before trying to flash this ROM?

that is some good battery stats! thanks for the feedback, and very glad your enjoying BLACK WIDOW.
Thanks for the effing sweet ROM, and especially thanks for letting us know this will be your last build for the RAZR ;p

No problem~ im just glad i could release one more solid build for the community!
So if i'm on the JB leak, I can't use this ROM? It must be the official OTA?
Leak in my terms now qualifies as (98.72.8), which will not work! If you are on this system version, all you need to do is grab the and flash the correct kernel (option 4: flashes the 98.72.16 kernel which is needed).
So if your on the leak, you download and extract the tool to the desktop of your PC, make sure to have the BW HDish ROM on your sdcard-ext, reboot your phone and put it into AP Fastboot, plug it into the computer and run the utility (option 4), once the phone reboots, enter safestrap recovery, and wipe and install the ROM. after all this is complete, and your phone reboots, you should boot into BW HDish ROM device setup screen.

I've done the 4 Wipe, Fix Perms, re-flash, reboot...etc.
BW roms are awesome no doubt but this one is not working for me. I used Matt's Utility to get on the .16 kernel, so I am up to date. Time to move on now. Good luck all!
BW....ftw!!!

So I'm not getting any data. I've downloaded the newest version and the previous one a few different ways. It boots normally then once I press start it says "please wait this may take a few minutes" for about 30 minutes and reboots to repeat the process. I've created new rom slots etc etc. Hate to bug, but any ideas on what the heck is up?!

Love the BW ROM, have used in the past. However, can not get this ROM going. Got as far as Selecting English...then it goes to 'Please wait, this may take a few minutes..." and that is far as I can get.

that is really weird man! all you should have to do is wipe data/cache/ dalvik/ and system.. flash ROM and reboot.. shouldn't have to fix permissions or anything.. but if you had a matching MD5 to the one I released in the OP.. and your on the 98.72.16 kernel... with safestrap 3.11 with at least a 2gb partition.. it should work np~ really wish I knew why its not working for you tho man!!

My Slot 1 is 1gb..but at least I get past the English page. I am able to use the Pull Down menu to get to Settings but that's about it.that is really weird man! all you should have to do is wipe data/cache/ dalvik/ and system.. flash ROM and reboot.. shouldn't have to fix permissions or anything.. but if you had a matching MD5 to the one I released in the OP.. and your on the 98.72.16 kernel... with safestrap 3.11 with at least a 2gb partition.. it should work np~ really wish I knew why its not working for you tho man!!

yeah that's not normal.. I could see that from the old build, but not the new one...
and I'm sure you checked the md5 before flashing? :

I'm having no data issues at all but you can try dialing *#*#4636#*#* and select "Phone Information" then scroll down to "Select Preferred Network" and put it on LTE/CDMA/EvDo

One thing that has been happening since I started using BW though. This was in the previous version, as well as this one. From RSS Daemon, my feed reader, when I tap a photo, and open with gallery, the image is blacked out. The gallery opens, and seems to have the image open, but everything is black except when the control bar activates. I used to pull up images in this way so I could zoom them, but have just been dealing with looking a little closer to read the daily Dilbert comic. I do not know that this is being caused by BW, but it started when I moved into BW. Even if it is, I find it no more than a minor annoyance, easily overlooked to receive the benefit of Andlaw's Darkness.
Thanks again for taking the time to work on the XT912, have fun with your newer toys.

By the way, you mention the boot logo is included in the rom now. Where is it located, and/or how do I activate it? Currently the boot logo is still the Moto 'M'. I poked around inside the archive a little, but only came across the boot animation, which is already working. Perhaps I have understood incorrectly, and the 'Droid Spyder' logo is merely an alternate boot animation.

hmm, the boot logo replaces the red M on boot.. it should have changed it to the DROID SPYDER boot logo.. it has for myself and others i have talked to, not sure why yours isnt changing? but you can always do it manually~ just download the boot animation and command prompt tool from my themes and mods, and load it up on your PC.. should be included in the ROM though. ..
