Byte, when updating versions, I just wipe dal and cache, but can you let us know when we need to wipe the /system or even data too if you do major changes?

As you know I always recommend a wipe, I'll try to be sure to mention whether you really need it from now on.

The only issue I've come across is upon doing the entitlement hack, the hotspot app starts up then quickly shuts down. Any ideas/suggestions?

I'll add that the problem is for 2.0.1... on 2.0 it seemed to work (in the sense that it does not quickly start up and shut down).

Does anyone here use swype and if so is it working for you on the latest version of this rom?

Swype hasn't worked since the job update. I think it's a swype issue and they don't seem like they want to fix it.

Navigate to Chrome.apk in /system/app

Navigate all the way down the lib directory

Extract the lib there

Place it in /system/lib

Worked. Thanks!

I'm getting this also :( My first attempt (with 2.0.1) actually showed "error" briefly. From then on it just starts and stops, never fully coming on.

And this really sucks for me because I need it for work. Fortunately I still have 1.8 on slot 2 :D

Nothing in 2.0.1 that would affect Setup, it was some text file edits, a newer Chrome.apk and some extra apks for Webtop. If 2.0 setup than 2.0.1 should also. Redownload, reflash the typical stuff.

I reported these same problems with 2.0. *shrug* Not complaining or grumbling... I was just giving my comments as a tester. Mostly I thought it was odd because I had no setup issues until 2.0.

In both 2.0 and 2.0.1 I took care of the voice only input by wiping and reinstalling zip.

Since setup is "hit or miss" and is a completely known issue, I'll stop reporting about setup ... unless you release a future build with it "fixed" :)

I do not, but it should work, just make sure to install it via the Package Installer, because some libs for it need to be placed in /system/lib for Swype to work correctly.

I've been trying to use a holdover full version of Swype that I have from Samsung. I can install the beta just fine, but the full version won't restore via TB.

My conditions for installing all of the progressive updates are as follows: I reboot, go in to safestrap, delete my rom slot 1.. activate stock, then I perform a factory reset with the option of erasing the internal storage. My phone then reboots, I get the android symbol standing up with a blue line across the bottom, I set up stock just enough, then make a new slot. Every time.

From what I can see just with regards to the hotspot, it works on 1.8. But 2.0 and 2.0.1 it does not.

I know there's no 1.9 of this, so for now (for my purposes) 1.8 will be the one I'll stick with since the hotspot works.

Hmm, just noticed my camera is not working, says failed to initialize. Anyone else?

Edit: Never mind, reboot solved it.

I just delete the slot I'm going to use and make a new one to start from scratch, leaving my stock slot alone. Especially with how frequently new builds for this ROM come out ;)

I'll integrate into the next build.

I remember having to move some libs around back on my droid x when I wanted Swype because like you, the full version didn't work through a titanium backup restore. However I backup up Swype from a Rom I had on ics(don't remember which one) and it's been working that way for every Rom I've been trying since, which is quite a few. This is the first time I had to go back to beta. But it's cool cuz the new beta is worth trying out. I have beta 1.4 installed and working on this Rom from the beta installer I downloaded yesterday from Swype's site

Awesome I'm excited:D I was wondering if it's possible to make a flashable zip too remove the notification toggles. I mainly use it for flashlight so if you can add that than it'd be good enough for me. But otherwise I'd like to use power toggles instead

I'll make one sometime today.

Current changelog:

Fixed Chrome

Updated AC!D audio mod

Yeah, I've been slacking, helping a guy in the chatroom right now.

Next stop fixing setup for good

Indeed I can't wait. To further my testing, I asked 2 of my colleagues if they could test out the hotspot hack on their respective tablets.. I have v1.8 of cyclone on my phone now and the first tablet was a nexus 7 and the second was an hp touchpad.. both tablets connected but couldn't surf on the web or do anything else (play store, etc). I was looking at my phone for the duration and my signal was either 4g-lte or 3g.. weird. Yet on stock rooted (non-deo) the tablets were able to do anything internet related.

Ohh yeah and I backed in the hotspot mod lol Lets see if that fixes it? Can't think of anything obvious I did.
