I used the baked in WiFi Tether application and it worked flawlessly. I also setup security and turned off broadcast so only people I give the information to can access it!

System settings -> Tether & Mobile Hotspot -> Check the box for Mobile Hotspot -> Mobile Hotspot settings -> and configure Mobile Hotspot becomes active to change the settings. Tell it to restart the app after you set up the settings you want.

Edit :i apologize for this being in a separate post. it wasnt intentional

Started having some battery drain issues on my daily driver so I have switched to this. Love it so far. Thanks for the hard work!

Not sure what you done differently but I think the developer said that the factory WiFi tether isn't working and this screenshot is what happens when you attempt to cut it on? You can confirm 100% that You have THIS ROM's built in tether working???

As the other person said, I'm using the system app (with Cyclone 1.4)... but I had to hack the entitlement first ;)

Apologies if this has been covered...

After setting up Google account at first boot, I get UI crash and an unresponsive phone. I reboot with power/volume down, but it never boots. It just sits at the end of the boot animation. Factory reset fixes this, but I end up right back in the same situation on setup. Any hints?

Here's what I did....
Boot into Safestrap
Activate stock ROM
Delete old ROM
Create new ROM slot 1 (I do 2 g)
Go to wipe
-wiped cache, dalvik, factory reset, and system.
Go to install and install ROM B80 w/e
Let it flash then in SS 3.11 it allows me to wipe cache and dalvik again so I do then reboot
Set up phone last time did not get reboot so finished set up got the android.process error messages so did hard reset and had to do set up again bam all good and restored from nova :) good luck let me know.

My method:
- Boot into Safestrap (3.07)
- Create new slot (1 or 2 gig)
- I also change slot nickname
- Wipe cache, dalvik, factory reset, and system
- Install ROM from SD
- Wipe cache and dalvik
- Reboot system
- Let phone sit (on 1st setup screen) ~ 5 minutes
- Reboot
- Go through the initial setup
- Sometimes I reboot again, other times I let the phone sit a bit longer before installing apps.
- Perform new install of all apps (no backup programs... so far on JB they just cause me problems)

No setup problems & no errors with the 6 different JB ROMs I've tried since December.

I'll bake in the entitlement hack next version to fix hotspot.

I've been enjoying AC!D Audio for 2 and a half hours today + hour and a half screen time + off charger for 13 hours = 20% left OG Razr

Any other suggestions for the next version? Within reason of course.

The aosp version of messenger that was in evolution 1.5 works fine on this ROM. You just have to turn off auto retrieve for MMS and you can send and receive picture messages just fine.

I love listening to high quality flac, so this makes me very happy. The regular sound quality of the OG droid just doesn't do it for me. Any upgrades to audio is welcomed by me.

Just wanted to report a SMALL annoyance. When using TeslaLED's widget to toggle the flashlight, it goes to a completely transparent screen (aka everything except the notification bar goes away). If i turn the light off by clicking on the notification for it, everything comes back. Not sure exactly what the widget is doing to cause this (it never used to have any kind of overlay while it was active). And to go along with this, you were asking for new feature suggestions, what about a flashlight toggle in the notification pulldown?

Also, this MAY be related to the issue above. Another widget that i use (one for twitter) has a pop-over menu that shows up when you click on an icon on the widget. This also causes the same behavior except that it shows the little menu.

Here are some screenshots of what i mean:

I love the theme, the transparency just looks so sick! I also found it really funny to look in my app drawer and see like 10 apps when first booted up... very smooth though! Nice work as always

I make this a skeleton sir, I don't like a lot of preinstalled apps.

Just have to find the name of the toasts and slap an extra property in there and that's all fixed! I'm uploading a new one right now, but I'll have a fix for that one in the next version.

Edit: I'll look into flashlight pulldown, that was a popular request in ICS too.

Also, thank you for your detailed bug reports, they really help me out in fixing the problem. And save me the eye roll at an undetailed bug report. (hint hint, everybody else should do the same)

Honestly, if someone with dev status reports a bug without any kind of repro details or at least a logcat, they should have the status revoked ;)

Thanks again for the awesome ROM. I can help look into the flashlight thing if you'd like. Shoot me a PM
