I have a Motorola Bionic XT875 (Verizon), it's rooted on
Android Version 2.3.4
System Version 5.9.902.XT875.Verizon.en.US
Kernal Version 2.6.35.7-g93f1a47vwm736@ii93inxdroid43#1
Build number 5.5.1_85_DBN-71
----------------------------------------
I got root with motofail_windows, By Dan Rosenberg (@djrbliss)...
PetesMotorolaRootTools_v1.09 would not work, as well as many others...
IDK what ver/build firmware I should update to thats fast with all the stupid verizon apps striped. and that I can keep my root on.
all the post I see for this phone are 2011-2013... (n some 2014 but not much... "unless i'm blind!" lol)
maybe this phone is to old and people are on the next better thing?
some say update to Icecream then JB, and use Voodoo OTA RootKeeper to save the root.
I don't see Voodoo OTA RootKeeper on the play store
There's a OTA RootKeeper 2.0.3.apk and voodoo ota rootkeeper 4.3 apk that I can get off google But IDK what ver/build firmware I should use them with.
is there a easier way? or do I have to go threw all that jibber jabber?
I've been seacrhing so long my eyes are burning 'n i'm almost out of beer!
Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place.
Any help is much appreciated!
