I just rooted my phone (U8680) Android 2.3.6.

It came with WordsWithFriends, Slacker Radio and other bloatware. I can remove some of them with root uninstaller programs but not Words With friends, slacker radio, yahoo mail and twitter. It gives me a message saying an unknown error occured.

I tried using terminal to delete them, ie:

#pm uninstall WordsWithFriends.apk

it came back with "Failure"

Any suggestions?

Use Titanium Backup to uninstall them.

Use Titanium Backup to uninstall them.

Thank you for the suggestion. It tells me "Cannot remove system app Failed to locate the APK file". I'm wondering if the app was removed but left the space allocated in the apps list.

Huawei is apparently known for installing hard to remove bloatware. Have you tried using Root Browser or SystemCleanup and looking in the /cust folder?
