So I am not sure what I did but I had root on my xt926 @ work. (will check Monday) but I did the update and lost it, Now why I try the peroxide it starts, but then reboots and comes to fast boot and does nothing. I have to manually go back to normal boot and then it continues. I think its not working because when I get to the towelroot msg to run it it says phone not supported? can someone help me obtain root on this?

If you try to unlock the phone with peroxide root it can brick it.  What version of firmware are you running?  If it is 183.46.15 perxoide is the only way to get root. You should play it safe and not try to unlock the bootloader.

I got root... had to run a few commands to rid the sticky msg that was stopping it on the fastboot screen. Now trying to run motoclypse to unlock bootloader because I need custom roms as I am using a metropcs (tmobile) on this verzon phone and the bloatware is insane ntm the simlock msg even though I edited NVRAM to get it to work so I have to find a way to unlock. I am on 4.4.2 183.46.10Xt926 and kernel 3.4.42

FYI: for those still trying to get root, the Kingo Root (both pc and apk) will do it on the latest firmware, but I had to downgrade the os to do the CDMA workshop hack as I believe the stopped it on the latest 15 build

You downgraded the OS? That's only possible if you already had an unlocked bootloader before you took the x.15 update. And if you have an unlocked bootloader, just flash a custom recovery again and get root that way, it's much simpler than forcing exploits like towelroot or peroxide. If you have x.15 and a locked bootloader, peroxide will get you root if you follow the instructions correctly, but nothing (as of now) will unlock the bootloader. Once you get root you can delete the bloatware.

I had problems with rerooting after upgrading until I installed Insecure ADB v.2 App.  It made it to where I could communicate with system through the locked bootloader..I too am now stuck in Flash Error AP Fastboot mode instaed of booting regularly.  I have to do the three finger boot menu each time until I find a recovery that will work with the boot process.  ADB Insecure is a real help when there is just no reason for lack of communication.

Hope it helps someone.

You do not need to downgrade os! I just rooted using kingroot apk running 183.46.15 xt926 with no problems at all.

It should install like any other apk with root access. Look over the instructions and if it doesn't require flashing anything you should be ok.
