As of today (7/10/2015), Verizon has released a minor update to the VS985 (from 23c to 24b).

 

Here is a list of the enhancements:

 

• Adds a Bluetooth toggle button to the in-call menu,
• HD Voice
• The ability to toggle between native Android 5.0 notifications or LG's skinned notifications.

That's about it folks. Some have reported that it appears as if the WiFi sync issue has been corrected, but it can't be completely verified at this time.

 

Also, whether or not you can root or bump or flash back to a previous version and bump has not been determined yet, so update at your own risk.

 

I did check system updates and my phone has been flagged to be updated, but I refused it right now. Waiting to see what the word is on rooting and TOT/KDZing back to a previous version and whether or not you can still bump it.

I'd be careful about taking updates  for the G3 from here on out. Autoprime posted on Twitter that anti-rollback has been implemented on the G4 so its possible it could be implemented on the G3 in a future update.

It has been confirmed you can roll back with this update. And it's rootable.

Thanks! Nice to be back here, albeit for the G3. Mainly at XDA because that's where most of the action is for the G3. Still, I like to peruse the HD forums still and see who all is around.
