I feel really stupid, not going to lie... I followed all the steps given and it just shows me about a million, " 'adb' is not recognized as an internal command, opreable program or batch file. Can anyone help me out?

That usually happens when you didn't extract the zip file to it's own folder on your desktop. Or you don't have the correct drivers installed.

Hello all! Just wondering, i currently have the Smart Actions app disabled. I understand that i need to re-enable it before i apply this root method. My question is, can i disable it again after the root and still have everything be fine?

I'm having problems with this...

My phone is running 4.1.2,

I have factory reset the phone at least a dozen times today and followed the steps outlined in the razr_blade utility.

If my phone isn't in "mass storage" usb mode, the razr_blade utility can't find it.

At phase 2, I perform all the steps for Smart Actions as listed in the utility.

At that point, the utility never responds to the "press any key to continue" response.  I've tried "space bar", "return", and random numbers/letters..but it never comes back

If I change the usb mode to "MTP" at this point, or unplug the usb cable, the utility gets angry and starts complaining that it can no longer see the phone.

What's going on here?

ADB isn't finding your phone.  There could be many reasons for that.

"My car is making a strange noise....can you fix it?"  Does that give you enough information?  Likewise, your post doesn't provide nearly enough info for anyone to help you fix it.

I went thru all of the steps listed, everything went as planned. got the "exploit complete" at the end.  downloaded titanium backup, and it said i had no root access. so i downloaded root checker, which also said i had no root access.  messed around for a while checking stuff out on it and decided to re-run the exploit. now it works. I wasnt getting the superuser requests to allow access the first time. now i am.

I am having the same issue. Cleared data in Smart actions and forced stop...ended up with a fresh Smart Actions but still no luck.

Get "The Superuser binary (su) must be updated" Clicked "install" (have Razr Maxx btw) fails every time

Can't force stop in smart actions..... just uninstall updates clear data clear cache..... smart actions must be running for the exploit to work properly

When you say clicked "install" thats not exactly how updating the binary works, so are you sure you did it correctly? Which SU app is there, if its Chainsdd version, then you swipe the window to the right and there should be an place where it says what the binary is, and if you tap on it it will update. For the other versions of Superuser, I have not found an update button....

Since your name is macdad, I will assume your on a Mac. extract the utility and then open a Terminal window, change into the directory where you extracted and then chmod +x on the script file and then run it. Should work.
