Soooo with the release of this what if I wanted to start from scratch from a rooted jb droid RAZR what would I need to do??

Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2

SUCCESS!!! Here's what I did, and not all these steps may be necessary, but I'll list everything I did for the sake of sharing information.

1. I wanted to be absolutely sure I was wiped clean. I used the fastboot console to wipe (fastboot -w), then rebooted into recovery and did a factory reset through recovery.
2. Re-flashed the leaked OTA zip.
3. Upon boot, enabled USB Debugging, Mock Locations, and Unknown Resources
4. Ran exploit.

To verify, I downloaded

, and I'm presently connected via wifi as I post this (my only isp at home is through my Razr. I live so far out in the boonies, I can't get DSL or Cable, but I do have 4G)

Dan, you're the Exploit King! You've got a few bones coming your way from me. Thanks again!

Okay, first off thank you so much Dan. Your a rock star. I am rooted with Safestrap, running Fuzion rom. I accidently deleted the home launcher on the stock side, so I wasn't able to go in and install Safestrap 3.11. My question is can I simply reinstall the jb leak through recovery? Then use the root exploit?

Sorry, but to be honest, your questions arent all that clear. If you have Safestrap and have JB on Stock ROM slot, then boot back to Stock ROM and apply the exploit to the Stock ROM. OR maybe you are Dual Booting and using Fuzion but your Stock ROM is ICS, in that case, you can reinstall a clean ICS on Stock and go from there.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I think you need to be a little clearer.

if he is using safestrap..he's already rooted. You can't run safestrap from the stock rom slot..even on JB if you're not rooted. It won't work

I may be completely wrong but I'm wondering if you can use matt's unbrick utility to setup the reapply of the leak through stock recovery. I'm thinking only certain imgs need flashed in order to do that. Then you would use the root exploit and start over.

On the the newest safe strap you can flash on the non safe side so I thought it was just like flashing a regular ROM and wiped everything but after flashing a ROM it says no is on rom.......

Okay let me try again. I deleted the launcher on the non safe side. I want to start all over. Can I reinstall the leak from recovery, and then root with the exploit so I can install Safestrap 3.11? I can't right now because I have no launcher on stock. It errors out.

That's what I was thinking. I just remember it was something like that when we would jump between leaks on the bionic. Thanks for confirming!
