This works great as long as USB Mass Storage is turned off... I tried a dozen times before I saw the post telling me to turn-off USB Mass Storage.

Does anyone else get stuck on [*] Cleaning up... I have been sitting on this step for about 5-10 minutes. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry... Just needed to be more patient...

I also am having trouble. I have rooted and rom'd numerous phones, many with Matt's awesome utilities. I received a replacement Razr, got in on the Soak Test with a phone that had never been rooted. Now, I tried RAZR_BLADE about 20 times, resetting smart actions every time (can't uninstall updates, as the only option is disable.) I have read this thread, as well as Matt's utility thread. I have tried options 2 and 3 in Matt's jelly bean 912 utility. I keep getting the SU not on phone along with the other failures during razr_blade. I was just wondering if anyone has figured this out. I am in media mode. I am holding out on option 1 for a bit, because if option 2 did nothing, not sure about 1. I guess that will be the next step though. Just trying to figure out why this works for some, and not others??

Are you clearing data in smart actions?? USB debugging on?? Using the USB cord that came with your phone??

Yes to all. I am force stopping smart actions, clearing data in it. USB Debugging on, and this is the cord that came with original phone... this is a refurb that came with factory ICS... I took the JB update in the soak test, which is the same as the OTA I believe. I can't think of a thing.

Then I'm thinking you are going to have to reset your phone. Use the Utility and do option 1 that wipes data. Then after you set it up do root again. It will work after that but there are no more options I can think of that you have not tried.

I'm thinking you're going to have to do a full (option 1) wipe. I had the same issues and was really trying to avoid a full reset of the handset but I did it last night and it worked seamlessly. I spent more time waiting for my phone to reboot than it actually took to get root and do the entitlement check hack. Zooming along beautifully now!

OK, I did option 1. Setup phone a little bit. Got to very end, no more errors until the end, where it said no su binary installed. I will try again...

Update: Still no luck. This is so frustrating, man. Not sure now what to do. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Thanks

Make sure you are covering all the bases. Clear Data on SA, Usb debugging, USB mode to mtp. I know it's easy to forget something when you are in the middle of this stuff

Well said! Make sure to hit all the points. 1 wrong setting results in Fail. Especially the USB to MTP. Good luck. Keep reporting the results. We'll get it one way or another. I was ready to give up a few days ago, but that "nerd" side of me wouldn't quit!
