Huge thanks to Dan and Matt. I tried to regain root with Voodoo, which has always worked for me, but something screwed up this time and it thought the phone was still rooted when it wasn't. Tried all of the good hints here many times over, then decided to start fresh. Was really unhappy in the middle of the night when I couldn't even get stock recovery to come up, but it finally did after several tries. Wiped data, used Matt's utility tool 1.9 and reinstalled the leak to JB, then Dan's exploit worked like a charm. Finally! :)

Thanks guys!!!

Did the Moto updates work or did you have to do it manualy?

Are the Moto updates working again or did you have to do it manually?

The Moto update worked originally, but I screwed something up trying to get root back, and had to manually fix it with the tools here. Is that what you meant?

Sorry if I'm being obtuse, but I usually just pop on here when I need technical help, so maybe I missed something. I didn't notice any problem with updates from Moto.

Do you have Bluestacks installed? or any other drivers for other phones or tablets? Try a reboot.

Yes, removed blue stacks, rebooted and that took care of it. Thanks so much for the info!

Hi all!

I've got a problem.

I used a root call blocker on previously system ICS. Works perfect. Today update my phone to 4.1.2 by FOTA, after I do root with this methold. Looks fine, installed SuperSU util, but root call blocker say: "Root not allowed." What do I wrong? I tried to remove the root with full unroot, but they do nothing... Please help me! Thanks.

Can we use Koush's new SU app in place of ChainsDD's app?

I unrooted for a Verizon fix. I'm trying to root again after the OTA but I'm getting stuck at *daemon started successfully* Nothing happens after that. I double checked that I'm in MTP and debugging is on. I have the latest drivers installed.

Untick and retick USB debugging. If that doesn't help reboot PC and phone. Lastly if those don't work try a factory data reset.
