Thanks Dan. Been wanting this for a while. My phone frequently was running with less than 60MB free and was SO SLOW. Buy having the ability to freeze the unwanted Verizon items, I'm back to 250MB free and the phone is working like a charm.
Root achieved for JB OTA RAZR/MAXX XT912 (RAZR Blade)!

I have done a factory reset. I have updated all drivers. I have trying both installing and uninstalling updates on SmartActions, but I keep getting this message:

I had a lot of issues under Linux with the su not found and the errors about permission denied. I simply went into the razr_blade.sh shell script on line 50 and instead of sleeping for 40 I sleep for 140. I noticed it took awhile for the Razr to come back fully "online" after that reboot for whatever reason. So instead of:
echo "[*] Phase three (this will take a minute)..."
./files/adb shell "sleep 40"
I used:
echo "[*] Phase three (this will take a minute)..."
./files/adb shell "sleep 140"
I hope this may help some others and thank you for the root!
This solution finally got the exploit working on my phone without needing a factory restore. Looks like it just takes a while for SmartActions to load once it reboots, and on a phone with a bunch of software already there, it just takes longer.
Thanks!

I am requesting assistance in troubleshooting the root process for my Droid Razr Maxx XT912 running 4.1.2 connected to my XP desktop. BusyBox Pro v9.6 is installed. SuperUser is not. Battery is at 100%.
I have done and redone the following:
- I uninstalled and downloaded Motorola Device Manager to ensure I have the latest drivers. (Even ran the check for driver update.)
- I uninstalled and installed SmartActions v4.2.2.4.2. Including clearing the data and ensuring there are no updates.
- I verified USB debugging is enabled and set connection to CTP (other attempts using MTP).
- After several attempts, I ran Razr Blade option 2 with success. Subsequent attempts to root still fail.

You can use Matt's utility do to that (and the root exploit is included in the utility) ... get it from here (if you don't already have it) ... (it will be the first utility on the list)

That is the utility I used (options 2 and 3). You're suggesting I use option 1--with a data wipe, correct? (UGH)

Im the owner of the original RAZR and ended up rooting my phpne with Mr. Rosenberg since early 2013, now i received an update from my wireless company and now my phone reboots by itself in an infinite cycle, it is showing the green android laying on the ground with the chest open with a red triangle and an exclamation sign, any way somebody could help me with this? I will greatly appreciated. If you prefer to send me an email please do so at sacul210@hotmail.com
You can try going into recovery and wiping cache and davlik then reboot or if that doesn't work...
You need the Utility up in post #669

Utility mentioned in post #668 to restore stock ROM and root phone, then VooDoo RootKeeper to backup root and disable root, then accept OTA update, then VooDoo to restore root.

I have a XT912 and the rooting didn't work.
First time I did this I accidentally choose the mass storage instead of USB to the HD.
Once I realized the mistake I ran the utility again and it went fine. Except... the root utility froze on "Cleaning Up" for 10 minutes, then the Razr rebooted again and was done. There is the "SuperSU" app on my phone but when I used root checker it says it's not rooted. I'd like to get rid of bloatware.
How I can fix this? Advice is appreciated.

It says this is a root for 4.3 but I'm running 4.1.2, will that be an issue?

It's stuck on the "ADB shell gain root permissions." My phone isn't showing the menu.
