It can't find the device? I could just be a moron, but does that refer to a USB connection? Because it is connected...also says it can't find daemon.

please help me...the above solution about changing the sleep 40 to sleep 80 didn't work. I'm mad. I'm using a mac. although some may say I don't belong here after saying this, I DO. I have a droid 4. The droid razr and droid 4 share the exact same software and architecture, the only differences are physical.

Your Smart actions is updated. You can try clearing data of that app. If that doesn't work you need to do a factory reset then do root again prior to logging in to google.

After a couple months of rooted joy, my Razr Maxx is coming unglued now, probably from overheat.  (I like to play web radio through Bluetooth audio devices with my phone plugged in to the charger. I guess that it doesn't have enough built-in heat sink capacity for that application.)

I just want to confirm that Razr Blade is still working on "new"/refurbished XT-912s before I wipe it and take it to the VZW store for a replacement. Are we still good?

Thanks.

In the folder containing the rooting files, there is a Superuser.apk that I assume installs SuperSU.

However, I have a problem.  With every screen recorder there is on Google Play, when I record, I only capture footage of a black screen. the startup screen (the Android logo, the gear, and the text, picture

)  I assume SuperSU is the source of this problem, as someone I know uses Superuser (by ChainsDD), and he can record just fine.

Should I replace the Superuser.apk with another superuser apk?  If I do that, when I run the batch file, will the new apk be installed, or will I brick my phone?

I have just completed this process successfully.  How can I verify that my phone has been successfully rooted?  When I open up Clockwork Rom Manager it says that it is not.  Any help would be appreciated.

Just root normally.  After you have rooted, install superuser from the play store and remove superSU

search "rootchecker" on the play store.  It will tell you if you have root

I have both of the reccomended apps, and both say that I am not yet rooted?  I followed all of the on screen prompts and the process said it was successful.  Any suggestions?

New to the rooting game.  Rooted my RAZR Maxx to make use of AdBlock Plus over 4G.  The root worked and ABP is working fine, however when trying to connect to the guest wireless network at my work I can no longer make it to the authentication screen and get errors about not being able to connect to a secure server and cannot use the internet.  Is it possible my network can tell my phone is rooted or something may have messed up during the root process?

ADB debugging on? USB connection set to MTP, not mass storage? Latest drivers installed?

Success!  Thanks, for this.

I was worried, because everyone said you must uninstall Smart Action updates or it wouldn't work.

I had no "Uninstall Updates" button, but the script worked perfectly the first time.

Thanks, Joe
