Yup! Many times. Clear data each time I try. I just tried to "upgrade" (which was really a downgrade to an old version) smart actions and then "removing updates" to restore the app back to stock. This also did not help. I just keep getting:

Then I follow the Smart Action steps and after pressing enter get:

Later after "Cleaning up..." I get:

having the same exact issue - any luck?

The only fix for this it seems is to use the Utility to return to stock JB then root prior to logging in to your google acct

So our fearless root master, Dan Rosenberg (

Please Login or Register to see this Hidden Content

), has successfully achieved root for the JB OTA and it's here first on DR.com! This root exploit is applicable to the RAZR and RAZR MAXX (XT912).
[...]
Again, huge thanks to Dan for his diligent work!

I came to the Jelly Bean party too late (just a couple of weeks ago) to be able to use this glorious root hack.

When I run it I get this:

This works on the .16 JB OTA just fine.

Found this quote buried in this thread. Bringing it forward in time, in case it helps others as it helped me:

scratchsf, on 12 March 2013 - 10:10 PM, said:

For those using the OSX / Mac script, I updated the razr_blade.sh file in order to get it to install. Like others in the group, I was getting the error that others have posted where the script would fail. Rather than perform a FDR i used it as a clue that perhaps the phone hadn't completely settled down yet when the script was trying to continue. So, my change was to change the Sleep command in the script from Sleep 40 to Sleep 80. After making this change, the script ran perfectly.

Hope this helps anyone with the problem on a Mac, although I suspect the same situation could apply for a PC.

You do need to understand how to edit files in *nix to do this. Open your terminal, use nano or vi or vim, find the line "sleep 40" and change the 40 to an 80. Save and close the file, then run razr blade per the instructions.

Thanks for the confirmation that I screwed up.

I missed unsetting Mass Storage mode.

If the attempt I'm running now fails, I'll try a wipe and start over.

Do you have Safestrap installed?? It needs to be deactivated, as in the Recovery needs to be removed.

I didn't but I figured out what I was doing wrong. This is for those (such as myself) that are getting the same:
failed on '/data/logger' - Permission denied
mkdir failed for /data/logger, File exists
Unable to chmod /data/logger: Operation not permitted
link failed File exists
I copied all of the files that were in the razer blade folder (minus the run.bat file) to the SD card in my phone and ran it again,
root successful.
Hope this works for you guys it just worked for me at 12:30 pm 4/4/13 (NOT AN APRIL FOOLS GAG)

I ended up wiping data and restoring back to stock JB using RAZR utility option 1. This allowed me to use the RAZR Blade root tool successfully. I hate that I had to wipe data. Thanks for the utility!

Is it supposed to take a really long time to "Clean Up"? I have SuperSU in my apps list on my phone now, but the command prompt window has been saying Cleaning Up for 10 minutes or so now.

I had this problem myself, turns out the phone was sitting there (screen off) waiting for me to grant superSU permissions to something'r'other. As soon as i did that it finished cleaning.

Fix for issue with no SU Binary

The first time the program ran all the way through, said complete, gave me that one superSU permissions ping that was keeping the cleaning up step hung on my PC (post above).
However, then when i tried to open superSU it gave "There is no SU binary installed and SuperSU cannot install it. This is a problem!"

Read through here more, went back and uninstalled the updates to smartactions. Just cleared the data and unticked autoupdate in the market. Then just ran the batch file again and ta-da!
Actually failed step 3 the second time around said
"failed on '/data/logger' - Permission denied
mkdir failed for /data/logger, File exists
Unable to chmod /data/logger: Operation not permitted
link failed File exists"
Obviously, all of those files were already there from the first batch run and I didn't have root access to mod them.
But still went to step 4, still completed, and still gave me root!

So no factory reset is required i think. Just go clear smartactions data and stop it from autoupdating. Then go again!

Thanks to DjrBliss. I bought him a beer or two :)

Hello all, for this to work for me I HAD TO SET THE USB MODE TO MEDIA DEVICE, after that it worked. I was thrown off by trying to uninstall updates to SmartActions, I dont think there were any updates to uninstall hence the option was not there for me. I also learned along the way that only apps that are built into the firmware (like smartactions) have the ability to uninstall updates... apps that youve downloaded do not.

In summary, you must set USB to media device for razer blade to work.
