I was not. I guess I am now (at least SU is working) - what I did was a data wipe/factory reset and then it seemed to work.

Yes, and you'll need to download ROMs that are JB base. NOT ICS.

This guy really is the man. He has been providing root for moto phones for years now.

Anybody that is able to should click that donate link and show your appreciation. Let's face it, how much fun is a phone without root?

I'm hardly scraping by so I'm unable to donate at this time but he will be getting something from me as soon as I'm able. Just wanted to encourage some support for the guy who pretty much makes this all possible.

So our fearless root master, Dan Rosenberg (djrbliss), has successfully achieved root for the JB OTA and it's here first on DR.com! This root exploit is applicable to the RAZR and RAZR MAXX (XT912).

This means all of you who lost root through the OTA update will now be able to root your devices once again.

A huge thanks to Mr. Rosenberg for all his hard work and dedication! He is the first one to achieve root so, as promised, the bounty is his.

Here's the link:

Instructions (Windows only right now):
-Download the zip file and extract.
-Connect device via USB (Make sure you have the current Moto drivers FIRST!)
-Make sure USB Debug is on
-Make sure the phone IS NOT in mass storage mode
-Double click run.bat

Again, huge thanks to Dan for his diligent work!

I would like to test this root razr blade bat file. now i know this is going to sound funny but I am already rooted running jelly bean and safe strap. is there a way to un root and then test this razr blade out.

To essentially un-root.... use a root file explorer and simply delete su and superuser.apk ..... su lives in / system / bin and superuser.apk lives in / system / app .....

sent from my JB RAZR .... tapadriving ....

So I will have to reboot to stock rom jelly bean then uninstall safe strap 3.11 and delete those two files then run razr blade and reinstall safe strap and I will be back to where i am. right?

Do I have to keep smart actions on my phone once the root is complete or can I re freeze it? It's something I never use.
